I tried emailing the survey link and it doesn’t work. I was just going to suggest releasing a translation of this show because I think it would be a big hit with the Latino community. They could use some education on this stuff since it is not always taught in our communities. Thank you!

I remember Dave mentioned on someone else’s podcast once that they tried that and it didn’t really take off for them. I think it was a separate show in Spanish they had made for Latin America. But that might have been a long time ago before podcasts made things more accessible.

I can’t believe 2024 ended and I have investment goals I never achieved… yet I hear people talk about a bull run in the financial market and I just recently sold a home. Do you suggest I utilize a financial advisor on stocks to buy, or can I do it on my own?

Amber - give through your church and then tell people who ask for money that you do your charity through your church. Most churches have food pantries and a benevolence fund for people who are in need. Our church then checks out the people who are in need and pay directly for short-term motel stays, food, and utilities bills. But they rarely give cash money to the person because they have no idea if it will be spent on their actual needs. I think it's a good policy.

To attain upper-class wealth, a wise individual recognizes that building financial success requires smart investments, strategic tax planning, and informed decision-making. Although the stock market offers growth potential, effectively seizing these opportunities demands both skill and expertise.

Stock investments can offer great potential, but it's essential to approach them with caution. I recommend consulting a financial advisor who can help you determine the optimal times to buy and sell.

It's often true that people underestimate the importance of financial advisors until they feel the negative effects of emotional decision-making. I remember a few summers ago, after a tough divorce, when I needed a boost for my struggling business. I researched and found a licensed advisor who diligently helped grow my reserves despite inflation. Consequently, my reserves increased from $275k to around $750k.

I love this show and I watch it religiously. I think the only thing I would change is when the Ramsey Team says things like “You already know a lump sum of your money invested in the stock market is going to double every 7 years”. This may be true and this has been the case historically. However, as we climb higher and higher on the indecies, weather it be the SPY or QQQ, DIA, IWM, ect., your return on investment will start to get smaller and smaller. So, can your money continue to double in 7 years? Yes, it can, and it has! But it's not good to convey to people that it’s a guarantee… We shouldn't say things like “We already know it’s going to double in 7 years”. So if I were to offer the Ramsey Team any advice (not that they would listen to me anyways), I would tell them to use a little more caution when talking about future market returns. Instead of saying, We already know a lump sum of money invested in the stock market is going to double every 7 years”. Say something like, we expect the market to return around 100% every 7 years, but there are no guarantees : ) Rock on Ramsey Team… Love, Love, Love the show!

Ok, in my experience, not opinion, my retirement investments have doubled every 5yrs. Expectations may not be exactly the same with our projected economy but every 7yrs is a safe projection based on experience. Might be 5, maybe 8, but how else would you state it if the data backs it up?

If you feel like you need to help someone just help. Calling a show to ask if you should help shows you aren't a helpful person, and you need to work on that. Just to compare things to the UK…. Student loans are only paid back once the graduate earns £27,000 or more at 9% from their pay. After 40 years the debt is written off. If you earn less than 27,000 or you end up not working then you don’t pay it back. No debt collectors ever come calling. Medical Bills…..no medical bills. It’s all free baby on the NHS paid for through tax. Credit cards….theres no way anyone would be allowed to open multiple credits cards and rack up thousands and thousands of debt. We have rules and regulations for that. Also we have no gun crime. I do feel sorry for you Yanks.
@barbie3139
@barbie3139 10 күн бұрын
What is the income tax in the UK? We pay 15-28% and then some states have income tax, up to 13% and then property taxes for an ordinary 3 bedroom home varies from 900/year to 15k/year, depending where you live.
@neilgodfrey2669
@neilgodfrey2669 10 күн бұрын
@@barbie3139 if you earn under 12k you don’t pay tax. 12k-50k 20%. 50k-125k 40%. Above 125k 45%. There’s also national insurance contributions which isn’t a lot. No property taxes.

@neilgodfrey2669
@neilgodfrey2669 10 күн бұрын
@ wages are low but there’s housing benefit and tax credits you can claim to help with living costs. Some areas of England are dirt cheap but bigger cities are ridiculously expensive. We do have council tax too which I forgot. That pays for council workers local police, bin men, traffic wardens etc for each county. That’s anywhere from £1000-6000 depending on how expensive your house is. Isn’t Canada easier for you to move to?
@yourfave31
@yourfave31 10 күн бұрын
Yes, the UK is better than the US in many ways but let’s be honest here. The NHS is broken, the service we receive is not worth the tax they’re taking from us. Wages are not high enough in contrast to the cost of living. Income tax is atrociously high and take home pay only just about covers your cost of living, especially if you’re in London. Also, knife crime is arguably just as bad. The only “win” here is that our student loans are more like a tax which eventually gets wiped out, instead of crippling debt.
