@@absurdist8 No he didn't It's the author Valmiki who added agni pariksha version so that common people like us must stop doubting mother sita's character.. Sita was an innocent woman who had to face all the abuse with no fault of hers.

@@coveringeternity Your statement applies to dogmatic religions. Others do not work like this. Never have any Dharmik or other pagan religions triggered anything like Jihād or Crusade. Even today, have you heard a Hindu asking for war with Pakistan for Hinglaj Mata or Prahlad Mandir or for the city of Lava? Nope. And this was one of the reasons for which Roman Emperors converted - abrahamic religions are dogmatic.

@@starauto4263 Because in one of the podcast when the guest(who was a historian) was scrutinizing the evil and dirty mindset of Islamic ideology then Ranveer like every sickular does tried to defend it for appeasement by saying "O then Ram also told Sita to take Agnipariksha" these were his exact words(without any context) so who are we to question on their bad omens and this is his reality

uttarkand was added later in Tulsi Ramayan. Valmiki ji doesnt mention Luv Kush or Sita ma being sent to forest

I am A bit confused.I have visited Sita Mahi near Varanasi where Sita went into the fire and a temple has even been built on the spot. Now I am learning that Sita jumped into the fire in Lanka itself. Pl. Enlighten me.😅

@@cheemunlalldookheet94 I think you are referring to Sita Marthi. It's the place where Ma Sita got absorbed into the earth. It's also called Sita Samadhi stal. This happened long after Agni pariksha and has nothing to do with Agni pariksha.

No matter how many Ramayanas come along, the one that aired on NDTV and Dangal TV in the period of 2008-2009 has a separate fan base and won 99% of Indian hearts. The Sita's image in this thumbnail is a witnessing that fact.

Also there is one line missing here , Ram also says just like fire of deepam cannot be seen clearly by foggy eyes similarly my eyes are foggy, which is to indicate that he is viewing her(fire referring to Sita ma) from foggy eyes refers general public point of view how they view her and so he does not want to give chance to public to insult Sita ma and not accept her as queen in future ,and when people read this part of Ramayana they automatically blame Ram for this , hence he took the blame for it. Sita ma also knows why Ram is doing it , but they just follow the act for the citizens to revere the queen Sita ma. But just like humans are they just won’t change again later in utara Kand ppl again insult her

Shree Ram said, I know that Sita, the daughter of Janaka, who ever revolves in my mind, is undivided in her affection to me He further said, "The world would chatter against me, saying that Rama, the son of Dasaratha, was really foolish and that his mind was dominated by lust, if I accept Sita without examining her with regard to her chastity." Therefore, in order to convince the three worlds, I ignored Sita while she was entering in the fire.

There is a better version than this narration. Sita is Laxmi herself. In the ladder of hierarchy of souls, Ravana is very low in the rung and no one can be equal to Laxmi except Narayana who is greater. Ravana could not even touch Sita. She would have burnt him. When laxman rekha brought fire, sita was sent to the Agni Loka (world of fire) and am illusory sita was replaced. Ravana took that sita. Rama need not fight for sita. He fought to kill bad people. Abduction was an excuse. Then after war, they had to create fire and bring original sita.

Unfortunately, tgis man is narrating from that part of Ramayan which was not written by Maharishi Valmiki ji. In Valmiki Ramayan and in Ramcharitmanas both have simply stated that Ram ji asked the Lord Agni to return His Sita. Please read the correct version. Agni Pariksha is a big lie which is being taught to us since last few centuries.

Then can you kindly explain Ram's thinking and behavior when he did Sita's pari-tyag in Uttar Kand? He knows everything ...agreed. Doesn't that make him look even worse when he tells Lakhsman to take Sita into the forest. HE COULD'NT PROTECT HIS WOMAN, it wasn’t her fault that she was abducted. Sita went to exile with Ram even though only Ram was exiled, to fulfill her duties being his wife, but he failed as a husband. He was more human than a God. Sorry...just my opinion.

They were Ravana's children. Sita knew Ravana before she got married to Ram. When Ram was philandering in the forest, she ran away to Ravana. Ram knew that DNA fidelity has been broken.

Sita was required to do agnipariksha & came out unscathed. People can argue about the wrong or right of her having to go through it. Maybe her deep love & respect for Rama & the deep faith of both, in dharma protecting them & also faith in Sita's purity made them go through with public etiquette. Firstly, a modern day Sita would have protested & not gone through it. Secondly how can anyone, however pure escape being burnt alive in fire, today. Teaches that in a different Yuga such things as not being burnt alive for purity happened. Most importantly, the discipline of what is rightfully & dharmically applicable for different times should be respected, whether in private or public life. What is right or dharmic is a matter of integrity and needs to be pondered about within. These ithihasas need deep pondering, also taking into account many factors.
