It's hard to do so when everyone around you doesn't really vibe with Hip-Hop/Rap genre. So when I finished it, I post it instantly. Expecting someone outside to review and giving feedbacks about it.

hip hop is the biggest genre in the world, you need to find and hang with folks who can benefit and hype you up to others, i make music for fun and rap at work alot and have people begging me to release, other rappers scared to battle me and ive never even dropped, but i perform live to people that i know is going to spread that energy, i want to get people hyped and then drop, i'll update you with a link and let you know whether it worked or not lol (take this as opinion not advice) but i think its going to work

YOUR LIFE IS YOUR LIFESTYLE. Nobody knows you exist (Except Family most of the time) I say this cause your Fav rapper is the Finished product . Us as humans care about the finish product. We want the process later. To go back n feel apart of the finish product. Dats why you see the glow up after the rapper already popped. Compare it to the new iPhone we want it perfect. Who the fuck gone walk in apple in say “Give me dat unfinished iPhone”

I understand where you’re coming from but I’ve gotten better results from randomly dropping songs and then marketing them after the fact. When I try and hype my stuff up beforehand, no one really seems to care.

that actually makes sense, you still should do a bit prerelease promo but going all out on your small instagram following for example (which keep in mind doesn't consist only of people who listen to yo music but also people who just know you) just tends to irritate them so they unfollow or don't even check it out once it's released, so lowkey do it but be carefull :)

@@youthfulmeskie2059 most people I know personally don’t really care about my music, but the ones who do, really fw it.

This is probably gonna be more for guys with interest in their music already. Once you’ve built a fan base that is expecting your music I think you’re doing yourself a great disservice skipping out on a release date when it’s worked for every successful artist ever.
@THERAPCOACH3 жыл бұрын
Let’s dissect this because I think people can learn from this discussion. At the basis of everything you said you ended it with “no one really seems to care.” Plain and simple if the music is not good or marketed well nobody will care. I can tell you because I was where you were. And my problem was the music wasn’t good. My high school friends didn’t care about my next crappy song dropping when they listening to Wiz and ASAP rocky.

Success is subjective. I make money off rap music. What’s your excuse?
@Getfitlikestunna3 жыл бұрын
You can’t determine your success based on the next person. Nav was just complaining about tmz not stopping him and he got millions of views. Your success is what you consider successful. I be feeling successful around Mf just caused I can grab the Aux and play my shit why they have to rely on other artist they don’t gotta like it Music Subjective just like LOOKS and SUCCESS are
