This is one of Juice's most important songs - he's always been incredibly self aware of his situation. It's not just about his self destruction - it's about his mentality. You can't save him. He knows what his situation is and he knows that he's young and stupid and you aren't going to tell him otherwise. He isn't blind to the fact he's going to die young, he's blind to the advice and the guidance that you want to give him. Juice is going to do whatever Juice wants to do - ultimately Juice wants to take drugs. Despite the negatives, despite knowing it's gonna kill him, he's gonna ride the wave. There's a part of him that wants to believe he's indestructible and that he's going to beat the odds, but really there's no denying his fate and he's aware of that. I really wish he was still here, because he was exactly what rap needed. Just like Mac Miller, the inner demons and the drugs were too much.
@Rileyschuima7 ай бұрын
he made this song and another song called legends. he made them the same day XXXtentacion died. this song is mainly about X... all though when he said we die in threes like musketeers, im 99% sure hes talking about himself, X, and lil peep.
@Connection_through_Reaction7 ай бұрын
Oh yeah, I think it was legends I reacted to before which i referred to in this one.
@cal63037 ай бұрын
that world tour line aspect that your thought about is quite interesting. I never actually thought about that before while listening to this song. I've always thought he was talking about an actual world tour, but he could indeed be saying that he wouldn't get to see life (the world) if he were dead. i believe he did know he was gonna die also, he knew he was too addicted to the drugs and we all know how drugs hurt you. rest in peace jarad, we miss you 999.
@Connection_through_Reaction7 ай бұрын
Yeah, and I still think it probably is a literal world tour. I think what made me think about it being a metaphor is the way he says 'it aint no world tour', instead of 'there's no world tour'. But im probably reading way too much into the actual grammar in the lyrics rather than the meaning. But then im a therapist - we are known for finding things that arent actually there!

I don't normally comment but I think I should here. 1st and foremost you're a great reactor. but secondly and perhaps most importantly I think you're the only reactor I watch for MY own benefit. As in yes, I do enjoy seeing your reactions, but I legitimately learn something new and beneficial from every video you post. that's not something I can say about other reactors. it's also so nice to see that you genuinely are thinking about the song and trying to understand it better. Refreshing! you've been beneficial to me and so many others I am confident in that! thanks again and keep up the good work, sir.

Thank you so much for the kind words, they are very motivating and inspiring. I go into most reactions worried that im not going to have much to say but I always try to say at least one thing that might be helpful in some way to one person, even if its to offer some hope, or explain a concept, or to normalise some sort of feeling, and i am glad that is coming across.

You are reacting perfectly. People love watching you because they relate to you and your authenticity. We go through the same thoughts you have. Including your self doubt. It's real therapy to a lot of people and you are so genuine that we love you for it. No one is asking you to be perfect, we just want to see your perspective. It brings up a lot of emotions in myself and the reality of this life and you help so much because you are showing that even trained therapists go through struggles.

I think you read it accurately. I don’t think he wanted to die but he also didn’t care if he did. I think that’s why he stayed on the drugs too because it helped him to feel “okay” temporarily and that was enough for him .. if he couldn’t feel okay while living than he’d rather not. It’s a shame because he could’ve been okay without the drugs , was so young
@FelixN027 ай бұрын
Hi Stu, been watching your video’s for a while now and really enjoy them. These past few years have been weird for me, everything is going great except for my mind. I’ve got no stuff to be unhappy about but as soon as im alone (especially at night) i just feel exhausted of life and sadnes fills my head. Thinking of the past has almost become some sort of obsession, thinking of what i could’ve done or said.. I don’t talk about it with anyone because i feel like it would come across as attention seeking, since there’s nothing really to be sad about. I almost feel this kind of guilt, like i wish something bad happened to me so i could just be sad for an actual reason..
@Connection_through_Reaction7 ай бұрын
I don't think it would come across as attention seeking, and if you are struggling it might be worth considering reaching out to someone. When we get time to ourselves (i.e. not focussing on other stuff) then our mind tends to ruminate a bit. That means it looks at our past and figures what mistakes we have made and what we could have done better with the purpose of learning from it so it directs our future behaviour. You probably dont realise it as people dont talk about it but that is actually quite a normal process that humans do (when it doesnt interrupt daily life i.e. you get so consumed by these thoughts that you neglect actually living!). The trick is to notice that you are doing it, maybe take a little time to process what it wants you to process and then try and move on from it and engage in something more worthwhile in that moment. I completely get that is far easier said that done, but i wanted to let you know that you arent alone in this and it is a very common thing that people struggle with. Take a look at my therapy channel (Therapy In ACTion) as im going to have some more stuff about this going up at some point.

Being famous is a bless and a burden. Just to be clear this is how I personally look at the downsides inherently are a result of being famous. There's is often a lot of misery that celebrities keep hidden from their audience or press. In my opinion there's too much of a taboo to talk about the downsides of being famous (and rich), and I think they are scared of the negative reactions, being labeled as ungrateful, selfish, arrogant, weak. like for example "You are successful, famous, rich, what are whining about". That why this song is another taboo breaking song. If the people really wanna know what's it's be like to be him, 'read his mind', he answers with the brutal truth.
