This is a very important video Jordan - so many men are resistant to going to therapy and have misconceptions about it, and both you and I know from experience that going through therapy can be an incredible healing experience and provide lifelong lessons you can carry for the rest of your life. You're doing a great thing by using this platform to advocate for men and people in general to seek out help when they need it. It was awesome to hear your perspectives and lessons, and as everyone comes in with their own unique circumstances, everyone learns different lessons from it, and so it was educational for me to hear how therapy impacted you personally and what you learned. The top 3 things I learned personally and remind myself of every day are: 1) It is hurtful to both be delusionally positive and delusionally negative about yourself and the world - while it always helps to be hopeful for the future, you need to see things in the present moment for how they really are, not what you think they are. And this is where questioning your thoughts and re-framing them to be more in line with reality can be helpful. 2) Regardless of whether you consider yourself masculine or feminine, we all have emotions as humans, and if you aren't aware of these emotions, they will control you and how you act. You need to identify and be aware of how you're feeling at all times so that you can act in a rational and composed manner despite that emotion. 3) You deserve to take care of yourself, always. Regardless of how hard you work or how ambitious you are, you deserve to have some time to yourself to relax, recharge your batteries and invest in your health. In fact, this will make you more productive. If someone is trying to stop you from taking that time to care for yourself, you need to seriously question whether this person is a good influence in your life or not.

For me one thing one thing that really helped me, was to accept that i was good enough, and that there is nothing to fix or change about me, yeah you can go for therapy but that's not to fix you but to help you process your issues and to offer guidance. A lot of self improvement stems from the place of hurt, a lot of people look to self improvement to change who they are or even to run from who they are trying to chase the illusion of perfectionism which doesn't exist. I also learnt that there is no better version of me to attain, i'm already perfect the way i am, no fixes no improvements to who i am, i dont mean we should be passive, all i mean is that our personality is already okay. Can we start declaring that we are okay and that nothing is wrong with us. GOD created us wonderfully and fearfully. Can we start resting knowing that we are okay..

Yea talk to someone who have the potential to help and guide you from your situation. Clarity can make you go beyond your current situation. A thing that i learned from some years of depression and difficulty is: transformation is not a fancy word, it's real. There is a better life you can live. And that, if you bring clarity and higher perception within, even without changing anything in outside, you will be Joyful, because the seat of human experience is within. Once you're joyful, you will have the space and capability to grow and change outside situations.

Hey man I got a question , my thoughts on therapy is that it’s not good for the majority of people becsuse talking about everything that went bad in your life isn’t realy going to put you in a positive state of Mind
@AS-ie6id2 жыл бұрын
I'll tell you what therapy is. Therapy requires you to be fully active and you to have a good therapist. You can tell if you have a good therapist (as long as you actively take part in and outside of your sessions) if you see progress within 3 months. You won't see all your progress but you will see a good amount. Therapy is the process of going through your trauma (which is not what you may think) and discovering why you think the way you do and fixing anything you dislike about yourself by discovering where it comes from, releasing it and getting it out and changing it in the present. This is the process of self-discovery, self-expression (hurting), and recovery (healing). As a result, talking about your problems won't make them worse or put you into a negative state of mind because your therapist will give you the tools you need to fix your problems and put you into a positive state of mind. You will be able to get to the deep root of your trauma and let go of it to live a happier life today. You will be able to start from the beginning of your life until the age you are now and work it all out (ask your therapist about this its called a life map) and you will be able to build a picture of your life and figure it all out and life sustainably without a therapist (you may need to go to them every once in a while. The basis of therapy is hurting, healing and letting go along with psycho-education so you can live sustainably after that. I hope this helped, if not feel free to leave another comment and I'll respond to it and answer any other questions you have.
@JordanGreenYT2 жыл бұрын
^AS pretty much covered it bro, but i'll add my own insight as well. what you're describing is toxic positivity. that is the refusal to acknowledge/accept negative circumstances for the sake of your mental wellbeing. therapy teaches you to have a positive outlook on negative circumstances such that you don't live in a perpetual state of self-denial. if you ignore the negative aspects of yourself/your life (also known as your "shadow-self"), it is impossible for you to find peace of mind because you're denying yourself the right to fully exist.

i like this bro... i've been learning to drop the need to pass these labels....meeen these labels do more damage than good.... these labels dont have grace, they only carry condemnation and guilt.....i'd rather say someone is unhealthy rather than call them narcissistic....
