Therapy dogs lifting the spirits of children in hospital in Chile - BBC News

A team of therapy dogs has been helping to lift the spirits of staff and patients at a children's hospital in Chile which has been overwhelmed by cases of coronavirus.
Doctors say the dogs allow the children to escape the stress of being in hospital and reduce their anxiety about treatment or medical check-ups.

Yes, of course. Dogs are our faithful friends. They want to follow everywhere we go, wagging their tails. They are left with sad eyes at home when the owner leaves for work. They sit at the door and wait for his return, and greet us in uncontrollable happiness. This is known only by the pet lovers. They are especially kept to guard us, but whatever it is, they guard our house. It's their lovely nature that is not taught.They are the special four-legged animals that can be tamed and trained as we like. They love us, and they want LOVE, and vice versa. But what a pity for some here. I'm very, very sorry to hear dogs are intentionally killed: poisoned or shot dead. If they are systematically controlled for birthrate, and trained, they are one of the best rewards for man. I wish all dogs not to leave their bodies, staring in such a heart-burning agony any more!
