I found you through Eddy Family Farm. OMGosh I'm in love with your donkeys. It brings back happy memories of my late Dad. Growing up my Dad had 2 of the sweetest regular sized donkeys and pair of mules. (The mules were not so nice.) He had trained the mules to pull a wagon. In the winter time my Dad played Santa Claus at a tree farm and the donkeys would pull a sleigh. So thank you for bringing back those happy memories.

I have decided, after watching you go in an out of the donkey pasture, to build myself a second gate entry, this way I can have a double entry and get into the first entry without worrying anyone will escape. kinda like a vestibule in a house. Then I can enter into the pasture through the original gate. Sorry if that doesn’t make sense, but I’m excited to do this now.

That's a great idea. Much less worry & stress for you. I know what it's like to have an animal just dart out. My little dick of an indoor cat thinks he wants to go outside. Yet I took him to the laundry room on a leash & he complained the whole time. I let him ride my shoulders to take out the trash & nope didn't like that either. I think he just wants to peek out from behind the stairs to see what's out there & smell my neighbors animals. I've gotten a cat harness so I do plan to eventually 'wallk him'. I should probably bring tablet since I doubt we'll go past the porch.

Hi Dejay. Donkeys never really interested me untill you got Steve, Freedom, Kane and that little turd Phoebe, especially Phoebe and her bottle. I will never forget Steve trying to help Freedom to her feet the morning she gave birth to that huge foal which you named Fallon. For a non bottle-raised foal she is just a hairy ball of lovin'. Now you have a real herd of mini-donkeys with an amazing range of personalities. What you decide to do with them I know will be in their best interests. One thing I would like to see is a foal from Steve and Filicia. I just have a feeling they would produce a remarkable foal. Just my feeling. I do look forward every day to more and more from AFH and DYB and not just the donkeys. Although they are a highlight. The goats, donkey-poodles, ducks, roosters (love the interrupting feathered cacklers), the steer (whose name escapes me) creek adventures, deer hunting and all the myriad other things we get to see you guys and gals do.
