lived in the burbs of detroit and had a problem with field rats. dad bought a .177 Crossman pump pellet gun. sat up in the rear facing bedroom with a delicious open garbage can as bait and waited. $1 a rat was the bounty. after a week or so, no more rat problem. helped us get used to firing a weapon which gave us a head start hunting.

Another great video from the Rat Buster. I would be concerned about leaving any dead rats in the pigpen. Since rats are notorious for eating anything and everything, they may be tempted to eat some rat corpses. Cheers!

Hi Tony when he showed me round the first time he looked through the thermal and couldn’t believe it because he doesn’t see many during the day he didn’t think he had a problem but I tell everyone the same thing rats are nocturnal they do come out during day time but not as much as on the night so he was very surprised but I was over the moon 🌙

i enjoy watching your video. i have some questions: 1. i see you aim on rat's head not body. it will take long time to aim head. i am wondering the difference of shooting on head vs. body. i suppose the rats will die anyway. 2. if you have any accident such as shooting on pigs, electric wire, garden hose, etc. Thanks for sharing your video.

Hi mate I always try and go for a head shot as it usually stops the in there tracks but good body shots are just as lethal regards having any accidents I have been shooting close range around live stock now for 10 years and I am 100% confident in my shooting ability and my gun I only ever take the shot if it is 100% safe to do so

Hi mate to be honest I have been very lucky getting the farms I have got 48 now I do now it’s very difficult sometimes I think if you get one farm and you do a good job they sometimes recommend you to there neighbours

@@theratbuster One thing being done here (in NYC) is stuffing their burrows with dry ice and then burying the entrances. The dry ice becomes Co2, which then spreads throughout their tunnels and suffocates the rats in their hiding spots.
