Someone else said it's most likely player retention which makes the most sense imo. But I find that to be a lazy work around to poor matchmaking. Which is odd cause I find the matchmaking to be perfectly fine

I often play from 1am to 5am on weekdays, I notice that there is a period where bot matches are more likely even when I am on a win streak. Just last night I was playing games on PC with my friend on PS5. We were doing fine all night, win a few, lose a couple, win a few. Take a break, come back at 3am. After a game or two I noticed that a match was very... easy. After the game I checked the players. 4 people on my team were players. The other players all had private profiles. Is there a way to make your profile private as a regular player?

It’s losers queue and punishment for leaving too much. Had a guy on the opposite team who was by himself. The rest of his team was bots. We checked in chat to see if they replied and he was the only one who did. He said his team wasn’t responding. Asked if he had a loss streak but he said that he had been leaving games to try and play Mr Fantastic and Invisible Woman lol too many Insta lockers to let him try them out.

I get bots constantly, about one time in every 3 to 5 games. I'm level 30 and gold in ranked mode; not a new player. I have a high win-loss ratio, so it's not for new players or bad players, it's for all players who have lost one or two games.

Me and my bro watched a replay of guys we suspected were bots. It was their pre-lobby behavior that was the give away. They just stood where they spawned; no spamming mobility skills, spraying the door, mleeing each other. The way theyll instantly look at you when youre behind cover is another one

Problem with that is I type slow and once someone sends the message I can't respond until match is over and you won't receive message after you leave the game..Which is annoying I should be able to respond privately or remove being able to send a message after the match

that's crazy, a few days ago I noticed a punisher was tracking me very weirdly, I watched the killcam and I was like it looks like he has aimbot but has his sensitivity set very low.. watched a killcam from one of his teammates and he had the exact same 'weird aimbot'... now this explains that haha

There's good and bad things about it. I understand anyone that feels cheated or upset by it, but for some folks it helps to just be able to get into a match as quick as possible and at least the bots don't hard lock a role so you get to play what you want more often.

if you don't like seeing bots in your games, here how to respond: leave the game when you see bots. take the penalty; even further, hit escape and click exit to desktop. they track EVERYTHING. the point of these augments in game are to maximize engagement and play time. they do want people to feel good about themselves while playing. if you quit as soon as you smell bots, their systems will notice that you don't like playing against bots. since their goal is max engagement, their options will be to either feed you real lobbies, or improve the bots until they're indistinguishable from real players. either way, you can absolutely influence the feedback the game logs in response to their current bots by showing them that when you come in contact with bots, your engagement goes down. If you DO like playing against bots, well, they have a specific game mode for that... I personally have not come across bots in this game yet, probably because I've been playing like a sweaty rat trying to rank up, but I've seen this naming structure thing in past games (fortnite etc.) and I knew as soon as I saw it in the video. Maybe the bots are a good thing for bad players, maybe they are necessary to keep the game alive... either way, that's how you can make your voice heard if you ARE coming across them and DON'T like it; you can always hit em where it hurts: engagement stats.

It's a ridiculous problem. After getting a bot game I just lose interest in doing more QP matches for the night. Like, my games are normally against diamond/GM in quickplay, so the games are quite swingy. Getting 2 losses and then being put against bots so you can be told "Oh you did such a good job, what a good boy" is just patronising. It stops me wanting to play the game more.

Easy way to tell if it’s a bot is to try view the players career from your replay screen. If it says they have their career info private then good chance it’s a bot. Played games where there’s 5 humans and 1 bot on a team vs 6 humans, which feels a little worse cause the game basically just handicapped one team. 🤦🏽‍♂️

This is for player retention. If you keep losing, you will lose interest in the game and therefore not expend money in their store. So, no stonks for them. They want to keep you engaged with their game so you can spend your money buting skins and sh1t.

There are 100% bot matches forced on you if you take a few consecutive Ls - which happens a lot without role queue. You're pretty guaranteed to get several losses in a row when 80% of the playerbase is unwilling to play anything except DPS and we have open queue. If you watch any of the replay, you can EASILY see that they're bots - and funnily enough, bot matches are often the only ones with viable team compositions. They are going to kill their fucking game with all this nonsense compounded by the stability problems.

I feel this is true and goes into competitive game play as well. The game at times feels like you are fighting with AI versus actual humans. The game glitches a lot, too. The screen goes white and you can’t see anything. Or the game adds extra round after you won two rounds out of 3 and get a 4th or even 5th rounds added. Like why? We won.

Thank you for pointing this out. Found out that I frequently have bot teammates even without a losing streak. I believe this is due to me being in New Zealand, playing at midnight-4am (which is when there is the lowest player count) and the game puts me with bots instead of higher ping lobbies. I was always wondering why my teammates would be stuck near spawn (1-2 enemies keeping them preoccupied so they don't run to point)..

If I wanted to play and practice against bots I'd queue in the dedicated bot mode. The only thing I could see is if there was a score or rank value in quickplay and if you're to low to queue with other players due to low score or whatever then maybe. otherwise, I'd prefer not. especially since I've played the bot mode, they aren't very good and it feels like it's just throwing my game for me if I have only them to work with

There 100% are. The other day myself and a friend were having a BAD day. All of a sudden, we got a match that seemed incredibly odd, movements, actions, everything was so weird... End of the game, checked profiles. 4 on my team were real players, myself, friend and 2 others. The other 2 on my team were bots, as were the 6 on the enemy team. Profiles restricted. It sucks cuz it was the first time I tried Iron Fist too and I was like "Wow! I'm popping off!" Proceed to play another game, got absolutely DESTROYED lmao

I can't find the link right now, but this was confirmed as a feature already at launch. Also for new players, your first 5-6 matches will be guaranteed against bots so that you win and feel the game is fun.

eomm bots are placed in games at different difficulties. sometimes teammates can be bots to ensure you win or lose or real players will be placed against bots. this is happening in all pvp games just about now. cod space marine 2, battlefield 2042 but they don't hide it. this is modern gaming where the algorithm alternates wins and losses to keep you playing. studies show players will play more if the player wins and loses rather than just losing or just winning. creates player retention. soon you will start to see patterns in your win loss and even matches that feel artificial like nail biters or suddenly you and your team get drop instantly when you're at 99% on the zone and the other team just wins it with in a min or two. bless your heart

If I get a single loss it's a 50-50 chance of getting a bots match. Keep in mind I have 100 wins out of 170 games, level 30 account, gold, but still get box matches. Proof: Watch this replay and tell me that's not bots: 1037009504 Watch the spawn room before the game starts: all 8 bots (2 teammates and 6 opponents) snap their camera to the top left of the spawn room door before the game starts.

Correct if you can find them on the search feature, they are not a bot. If you got to match history and check their profiles. If it says restricted access its a bot, if its limited its a player

I play on pc and Xbox but when I'm on xbox I click the button for console only Yesterday my 1st game I had 2 healers not playing great but whatever we won then I saw they were on pc, accounts not viewable and then I looked at enemy team, all pc, accounts not viewable.

Bot matches on average occur when you lose 2 in a row in quick play. Thats all you need to be put into a bot lobby. 2 of you team will be bots and 6 of the enemy team will be bots. All of these profiles will have "Restricted access". This put me off playing quick play and i just stick to competitive play now. SoloQ is the worst but its better than playing against bots. I went 41-0 and felt worse when i found out they were bots.

It's strangely inconsistent. Sometimes after two losses it happens, sometimes After 3/4. I wonder if it uses stats as well or if it's just to speed queue times. Fortunately it's not put me off QP but it doesn't make learning characters annoying cause I'm likely to lose

I tested it (totally tested… by ragequitting after that stupid 🥰 adorable👹shark ate me and spit me out)I got a bot game when I logged back in. Next game was against real people and we got rolled but I didn’t leave prematurely. Next game was real, didn’t leave despite getting spawn held. The next game was close and we won. Those two after the bot game were real due to match chat being active. I haven’t gotten a bot game since.(I did the inadvertent test Monday) People goofing in spawn, match chat being active, malding etc.

Man why can't I have a team of BOTS? The last three times I did Quickplay I got a team of people just wanting to do their own thing and ignoring the mission objective we lost. >_> I went back to vs AI because 9 times out of ten at least the players actually try do the mission objectives.

@@okuriokami3487 I don't know, I think the reason why the use bots is due to timeing and not to overload the server. I honestly don't mind fighting with bots or against them. If they make it obvious that you are fighting with bots. At least the bots actually try to work as a team. Also it is annoying to get put into a match and it's like 1 minute before ending. You either in a win or a losing situation. You being put in there that late does absolutley nothing. If I was the ones still connected. I rather they put a bot to replace the missing character tha left or DC'd. Like I said I don't mind it, though they should make it obvious that they are Bots and not masquerade them as players.

I think it is 3rd parties racking up leveling for heroes to then sell accounts. the practice vs ai bots are significantly better than the in game quick play bots by a long shot.

I’ve had a game here and there where the whole enemy team doesn’t drop a single kill but I’m almost consistently on a win streak in this game. in theory if you were right I should be getting creamed back to back by the most skilled lobbies lmao, I won 16 and lost 3 yesterday. I do not think this is netease at all. again, you can literally go see how their bots behave in practice vs ai. it’s completely different, I’m willing to bet if we keep tabs on these odd bots, their accounts will be for sale in the future.

Do you remember Krampus from cod? Have you had the bots do that to you with literal aim bot accuracy focusing you out to shut you down. It goes both ways. If you’re doing too good, the game will kill you with bots if you’re doing too bad the game will put you with Games with bots.

Considering ive seen supports have less than 200 healing (and under 7 or 8 kills) id rather have bots lol. If youre new, thats cool, but theres a practice vs ai option for a reason.

I had Today a super Toxic Player who was very bad but thought he was good and better then every one else thanks to piety bot matches bosting his ego. I looked in to his History and he only won matches against "the secret bots" or matches where he was hard carried. Is a joke that such players not knowing what is going on become toxic thanks to the game guiving them the illusion they are good.

Best way to check for sure is go to your history and try to check their profile. If it says restricted access its most likely a bot, if it says limited then its just a private player

If you not playing ranked play conquest mode practically no bots if any its not objective based but you sharpen you CQC skills tremendously with characters

It will even happen if you win. You're not Marvel Rivals God. You have access to History, and Replays, you're able to check profiles too. Bots are real. So toy can stay in denial and believe you're the best player ever, or realize that NetEase has implemented Engagement Based Matchmaking to keep goober invested.
