Squirrel Girl is a pretty decent DPS, but her ult isn't very good unless the whole enemy team is clumped together in a confined space. But that's fine, I'm glad not every character has a squad-wiping ult. Overwatch kinda went overboard on the overpowered ults and it got kinda tiresome.

Rivals devs did say they were going to focus on Buffs over Nerfs, with very light touches on nerfs to get characters to where they need to be balance wise. They don't want to just completely nuke characters like so many other Hero Shooters have done by over correcting. Plus S0 was hella short, so they only have what, a month of data? Now they'll have a full 3 before the next season so they can adjust with more data next time

Widows kick,shot, grapple, shot combo should kill if the cooldown is going to be as long as it is for the kick. The bullet after the kick and grapple should do more damage than normal, that’s a high skill play. Her sprint was buffed which is nice but she still underperforms. Why does her bolt action sniper have a reload? We are moving in the right direction for this character but there needs to be a bit more.

I main cap so…I’m eating pretty good lmao. But a couple of these don’t make any sense. How’re you gonna nerf Mantis movement speed cause you can acknowledge that’s an issue, and Buff Storms damage and attack speed cause those were issues- But not change Hela or Hawkeye? The two characters they specifically name dropped for nerfs before the patch notes were even out. Changing Hela’s health makes no sense, she’s supposed to be in the back sniping and staying safe. Hawkeye is literally not even changed substantially enough to mention him. And why does Scarlet have increased range and tick damage on her aim assisted primary 💀. That’s just more incentive for easily intimidated players to pick her. How are you gonna give Storm a better decaying shield after her ult but NOT give Scarlet or Magik some sort of survivability for their ults?

Honestly these seem like patch changes more based on around high elo play. I’m a GM1 player and I will tell you at that level panther is actually insanely overpowered. This is definetly the season of adam warlock ....practically untouched , neither nerfed or buffed but has the 4th highest competitive winrate last season ? Check .....the only 2 strategists that are considered more valuable to bring than him got nerfed ? Check..... And he got arguably the coolest skin in the battlepass ? Check. The new combo will likely be him and mantis to utilise the team up and damage , or him and luna for a team rez / invunarability ult combo ....luna mantis will probably still be a thing early on in the season but now that luna cant spam both ult stances like she did at the same time shell very likely drop in pick rates ....people mainly complained about her ult being a 12 second invunerability for the whole team ....while also provoding the team with a constant damage boost from spamming both stances , now thats out of the picture shes honestly less worth picking than adam. Either that happenes or invis woman destroys the strategist meta and invents a new combo.

Hulks shield gives invulnerability for 2.5 seconds, reduction from 250 to 200, means 2 seconds instead of 2.5. It is not 50 less damage before it breaks.

Black Widow is under 40% winrate in GM and above on PC ( it is 32% on console!!!!!) . Whatever the devs thought when designing and balancing her... The result is a failed character design and a wasted slot on the roster. The "buffs" here wont change that. She doesnt deserve to be this weak only because ppl suffer from widowmaker PTSD. Rather give her a rework into a hybrid who is effective at mid range, like bucky. Two pistols, a stun from her iconic wrist band and some other fun stuff. Then call it a day. Because even that would be better than the failed mess that the devs cooked up as Black Widow for launch. In a game where "everyone is OP" the scoped sniper archetype is WEAKER than it's counterparts from countless other big shooters that came before.
