Thank you Jessie and Jay. In every book there is a moment when I check myself. Thank you for the little lessons along the way Jessie.

My pleasure! You know, so many of the things that turn into lessons in my books are things I've needed reminded of multiple times over the years. And still do, honestly. Thanks for your kind words.

Another great book by Jessie Gussman and narrated by Jay Dyess! This book was fun and lighthearted but also incorporated Jessie's usual life lessons and inspiration. Thank you both Jessie and Jay for bringing us yet another wonderful book/audio.

Wow, what can I say. This series has been so good. So many nuggets laying along the path of this written word and told by extraordinary narrator! Thank you Jessie and Jay for sharing your gifts with all of us. These audiobooks have been such a blessing, especially to some of us who don’t see as well as we once did. Thank you both again, from my heart to yours. So very grateful! ❤️📖📖❤️

I love all of Jessie's books and Jay's narrations. For some reason, this particular series captured my heart. I love how Jessie writes about real-life in her books. Like Eleanor, I had severe anxiety for a good portion of my life but until I fully gave it (the anxiety) up to our Lord and Savior, did I learn how to manage it. Thanks again to Jessie for sharing her talents with us and for Jay doing the same by giving a voice to the characters that we have come to know and love.

A lovely Christmas novel! It was a fun story and perfect with the weather! We follow the characters from a snowed-in shack in the countryside to a glamorous trip to Chicago. Twists in the plot made me stay awake long past my bedtime! Only flaw: I wanted more! Thank you Jay for this new release!

“I had to memorize verses that said that God was good. That He only wanted good things for me. And when bad things happened, I had to understand that they were only bad because I was looking at them like they were bad.” This book definitely started out in a different way from these other book in the series. I read the blurb and I actually then went back to verify I had the right book. 😂 A kidnapping gone awry is definitely new. Especially in a Christian romance novel! I appreciated our heroine’s struggle with anxiety. It’s been a part of my life at least as long as it was hers. And, as an adult, I too desire to keep mastery over it without the use of synthetic medications. I appreciate all that was said about God and control and our perspectives on things because it is all Right On. As Gussman always is. There’s a reason I look up so much to her and think so highly of her. Like, role model and who I aspire to be (if we’re talking outside of Jesus, of course). I always learn so much from her and her books and I’m always edified, confirmed, and challenged in my faith. I also liked the theme of true friendship and actions based on Christ’s character, rather than our feelings. Another lovely addition to this beachy series and I can’t wait to see where the next books will take us.

This one was a tough one for me. I have my own very deeply painful and soul deep pain from being second choice. Mine was over and over again, especially in my most formative years. That kind of constant rejection leaves wounds that yes they heal over, but they go deep and leave an impression that changes you. I'm lucky, I then also found my soulmate and the moment came to where he chose me, over the one person that came before me. I was going to end it myself because I couldn't live that way, but then he chose me. We are twenty six years in and deeply in love and 1.I'm glad I didn't give in as soon I had planned and 2.he looked inside his heart and found ME there. That is probably why this book played my emotions so deeply. That writing, Jessie, you made me literally sob! And your narration, Jay, superb.xx

I'm sorry it was so tough. What a difficult thing to overcome. I'm so glad God led you to your soulmate and you've had so many years together. That's beautiful. I'm sensitive to that, too, I suppose, and Eleanor is one of my more relatable heroines for me. Thanks so much for your kind words and your support of this channel - you've been a blessing to me!

My review: Interesting story that is different than the rest of the series so far. An “accidental” kidnapping, mistaken identity, a cat truly in distress, and a snowstorm to strand the main characters. Then the story moves to Chicago where their budding relationship is threatened and tested. The characters continue to grow throughout the story and try to follow God’s plan. I enjoyed reading this story. I received a free copy of this book and this is my voluntary, honest review.

Hey there! Jay. I truly enjoyed the Straw Berry Sands Beach series. I just finished book 7; having listen to all seven of them, one right after the other. Question. Is there a book 8 and others? I can't seem to find them on KZbin. In Closing. I know you're not the Author. However, it would be so nice, if there was a volume in the series that brought together, all of the plots; having them all connect in a very happy and collaborative storyline [all of the business charictors network to do something in Straw Berry Sands Beach. I love the fact that the series is Christian. God bless!

Now that I have finished this book I am leaving my review. I liked this romance between Eleanor and Franklin that developed when Eleanor's friend, Sally, kidnapped Franklin by mistake and locked him in a shed. When she told Eleanor, Eleanor went to rescue Fanklin who she had already started to have feelings for. With her car nearly out of gas, her cellphone needing charging, and having bald tires when a snowstorm was forecasted, Eleanor set out to rescue Franklin. It turned into a funny situation when they had trouble getting the door open and having it shut and get stuck again after Eleanor entered the shed. Then a momma cat started having kittens at the back of the shed. Eleanor was able to help deliver one kitten that was stuck allowing the safe delivery of four kittens total. Sally had told Eleanor that she had left a care package in the shed and there was a woodstove, Eleanor and Franklin worked together in the dark to find what they needed to survive the night in the shed in a snowstorm. They had time to talk and get to know each other before someone rescued them the next day. I liked the way Jessie had their relationship as on and off again before they worked things out in a HEA ending. I recommend this as a clean Christian romance. I received an ARC and this is my voluntary and honest review.
