There is a Chance on Project B I G | Adam Ondra

Project BIG looked very realistic and seemed like it was within grasp - literally, it all came down to this one big move! Check out in the new video the process of getting closer to sticking this move last autumn. It is just such a complicated route - really hard to get aligned conditions, physical shape and getting the kneebar below right, getting some power back and then coordinating the Move - going not too static and not too dynamic.

About the quality of footage, audio, climbing, talking and HUD everything is top notch and absolute perfect but I would like to express that it would be lovely to be aware of what day/month it is exactly at the time so we get some perspective and get involved with you in some way, if this makes sense. I think we'll get a movie if he climbs the worlds first 10a. That would be a crowning achievement of his career and a feat worthy of a feature film. Because now he's the best climber in the world but he isn't a "world breaking" athlete. The same way there isnt a movie about Roger Federer because yeah he was one of the greatest tennis players of all time but he never won the grand slam. I'm pretty sure we'll get a netflix type documentary about him sooner or later but for a full 1,5hour movie we'll have to wait for him to do something extraordinary out of this world like Honnold did with soloing El Capitan

Although a lot of what Ondra did is extraordinary "out of this world" like flashing Supercrackinette or onsighting 9a or sending Silence or let alone the bolting work in Flatanger which must have been insane... I agree for mainstream this doesn't sound groundbreaking. What Adam does is maybe still too "niche" idk

Most people with that frustration of not being able to send such a hard project just because of external factors (being ill, weather) would just lose all motivation to train, not to say to train hard!
