I bought the silvercrest one because i already have lots of parkside batteries and so far so good, i've vacuumed my tiny appartment(40 sq m) few times and the 8ah battery is still indicating full. Also it vacuums decently i'm not dissapointed, the light in the head is nice to see dust on floor.
@BrokeLifeEU4 ай бұрын
With the 8Ah on a 40 sq m space you could even vacuum on turbo mode from start to finish. I was honestly surprised at how good this thing was for the price. I always overlooked Silvercrest but in this case I gave it a go and I was far from disappointed.

good comparison seems to me Parkside is the most bang for the buck option here
@BrokeLifeEU4 ай бұрын
Thank you! Yes, the Parkside is a very good choice. Although I do not like noise and to me it is too noisy. I really love what they did with the Silvercrest and the Parkside batteries, that is a really solid idea if you have Parkside batteries and a fast charger.
@express4964 ай бұрын
@@BrokeLifeEU For 17€ that i got it, the Parkside one is phenomenal. It is literally better than my stupid 130€ Proscenic P10 that has worse suction and a single bloody 25V 2Ah battery that takes 2hrs to recharge. Just buy another one ay, well yes but its 60€ and only charges in the vaccum. I literally want to throw it out the window. i had a Parkside conversion planned for it but ofc it doesn't like the lower voltage. I really like the Silvercrest also because i have a few 4Ah batteries.

Today I bought the SHAZ 20 A1, even if I was a bit dubious. as the A1 version for Lidl is always the launch version, which can have problems that need to be ironed out. One hopes the SHAZ 20 does not have a lot of problems...
@BrokeLifeEU4 ай бұрын
I know what you mean but I don't think that is always the case. Sometimes the A1 ends up being the better option as the ones after it get the cost cutting measures. Have you already tried the vacuum and what do you think?

Hahaha aw man, the Philips spitting the grains out everywhere. An effective cordless vacuum is a big engineering challenge it seems. Philips marketeers should've peeked at the Lidl guys' outsourcing homework before signing off on this thing!
@BrokeLifeEU4 ай бұрын
That Philips for that sort of price make my head hurt. It is unbelievable how they managed to make it so bad for that price. Had it been around the 150 euro mark, it would have been OK but at nearly twice that nobody should even consider it.
@Failsafeman1004 ай бұрын
@@BrokeLifeEU the sad thing is, it's such a trusted mark with the older population that it's probably selling really well. Philips stock prices are still healthy for some reason, even though it's been decades that the company is a fossil 😆

Silvercrest is strong but brush doesnt touch on the hard floor, then old dust stays on the floor. To use on carpet is ok, its perfect for carpet, but not for hard floor. There is better option
@BrokeLifeEU3 ай бұрын
You are right, however it is quite powerful so I found that even if the brush does not touch the floor it does have sufficient power in order to suck up substantial dust from the floor. In terms of its performance on carpet I found it excellent. Not a bad vacuum at all considering the price I think.

Can you check what kind of epa/hepa filter the silvercrest has? Maybe it's written on the box, i hope it's h13
@BrokeLifeEU4 ай бұрын
I do apologise for the late reply! Unfortunately the box was not near me at the time. This is what I found - HEPA-14-Filter. I hope that helps. As I understand it this is the better option between 13 and 14.

@@BrokeLifeEU i bought it yesterday, in Italy at least the box says h13 , not bad at all!

That's odd, on the website it is Hepa 14 as well. But 13 to 14 not much real world difference really. Did you manage to test it out already?
@d4v1d04 ай бұрын
@@BrokeLifeEU i just realized, look at the first image of ur video, the blue circle says "99,95% retention with hepa h13 filter"... i'm no expert, but this vacuum completely satisfies my needs for house cleaning, surely there are more famous brands that can do even better, but this one is already more than enough, plus i can use 2Ah battery to make it more lightweight for my gf, and switch from one battery to another and use a serious charger without having to wait 5 hours. Definitely worth those 129€
@BrokeLifeEU4 ай бұрын
@@d4v1d0 Haha yes I completely missed that. I looked it up on the Lidl.de website and there they claim it is a HEPA 14 filter but as I said 13 or 14 no real difference for home use to me. As per the batteries if one has a spare battery and real charger this thing is a game changer for its price!
@andreabugatti67924 ай бұрын
I bought the Shaz A1 but I'm not satisfied because in boost mode the battery lasts 10 minutes and in Eco mode it sucks little and Works 35 minuts like a common vacuum cleaner with a smaller battery. moreover the brush does not rotate: in yours, Was the brush motorized?
@BrokeLifeEU4 ай бұрын
Yes on mine the brush is motorised and it does rotate as the vacuum is switched on. Indeed both the Turbo and Eco mode have a shorter run time than for example the Philips this was tested against, however with the Parkside batteries being the cheapest vacuum batteries I have come across I think that is a fair trade for me. With all of that said I think your unit might be defective unfortunately.
@andreabugatti67924 ай бұрын
@@BrokeLifeEU I also think it's defective, however I decided to return it. Regarding the batteries, I have 5 that I use with various tools and I can say that they are very good, even in terms of their duration over the years

The original Philips corporation hasn't manufactured home electronic goods for years. In fact they haven't manufactured almost anything for years at this point thanks to incredible incompetent mismanagement. But the brand name is still extremely recognisable, so it's licenced to others which use it to rebadge junk chinese crap, support it with decent marketing budgets and sell to unsuspecting customers.

@dadom85 Even for the battery alone the Silvercrest is a win in that category. At around €25 per 4Ah Parkside battery against around x3 or x4 times that for things such as the Philips for instance. @@BrokeLifeEU I totally agree. Engineered to fail. I have seen several of these types of vacuums die after a short time because of their batteries.
