I think it depends on your elo. Some players don’t know how to take advantage of her kit, like her revive and her passive, and some champs hard counter her. Any non-auto attacking champs are good against her, and so are champs that just out range her. She isn’t a great first pick due to how easily you can counter her.

I don't agree with that. Her abilities scale with AP and she has a poke ability... So, definitely don't build her as a tank xd

i climb from bronze 2 with 0 lp to silver 4 with renata, but mostly i make her tanky instead of buying support item. im using evenshroud item for renata, it seems like work well with her ult.

Definitely not in low elo, so far I haven't lost a laning phase against a Renata. I feel like she's a bad version of blitz or karma. But again, perhaps is just a low elo thing xd.

Or its people not knowing how to play her really well, as a person thats played renata quite a bit since she came out i can say that ive played against some pretty big clown renatas
