Great video as usual. I think her Shikai shigarami allows her to weave anything into existence. Despite what people think about her using illusions, that's clearly not the case. She weaved a fake royal palace complete with all floating islands, weaved an umbrella that was used to deflect Uryuu's attacks, weaved body parts to heal Nimaya, weaved a copy of herself too. So it's more than likely that her Shikai weaves anything into reality. Her Bankai then weaves fate itself just like you said.

Yes, I agree she does not use illusions. I think the cloth she uses to hide is already dimensional warping =)

As always, you never fail to impress me. This very in-depth analysis of the lore using the eastern Asian religious philosophies is the idea of how to properly comprehend the ideas behind Kubo's world building in Bleach. ⚠️Spoilers for anime onlys ⚠️ Plus, I wanted to note for Ishida Uryu's segment, yes he is in a conflict and I think also that's why he is used as the Poster boy for the part of the arc that's titled Conflict, because first his Quincy genetic attachments and all would sway him towards picking sides with the Wanden Reich. On the other hand, his emotional attachment to his mother first, who's been a victim of the Auswählen and to his main squad the Karakura gang, Ichigo and all, he'll side with the Shinigami, plus don't forget his schrift Antithesis mirrors his personality and character quite well, since what we know of him being nothing like the rest of the Stern Ritter, he is not cruel with no little to no background, he has a semblance of compassion within him, a code of honor, besides as we probably have seen in the manga, he has been somewhat of a double agent, it's like he went there just to gain proper access to all of his Quincy powers and combative repertoire, mainly activating his schrift by medium of the blood ritual with Yhwach, which leads me to think also his trauma is shown to him as we know he's lost his mom to Y.H's tyrannical power greed, and him seeing his dad Ryuken dissecting the cadaver of his mom over and over again to extract the still silver we saw in him regaining his powers at the beginning of The Arrancar Saga, and what we as manga reader saw him use to stop Y.H from using the Almighty for a small portion of time, being the only one able to give the still silver this characteristic by means of fusion with the nature of his schrift. For Jugram, his love-hate relationship with fire, not only stems from the fact that it burned his house and killed his criminal uncle, but also in relation with his friend Bazzard Black a.k.a Bazz-B the Heat. Your take on Pernida, Gerard, Askin and Lille were perfect. Again thank you for this video about Shutara's bankai, which was again majestic. I hope you also have a great day. 😊😊😊 (Yeah, Uryu is my favourite male character in Bleach so I took my time with him)

Thanks, I love how Kubo uses mythology in the story. It is subtle, but really meaningful once you look into it =) Loved you Uryu analysis, never thought about Antithesis that much, but I think you are completely on point. Also, I forgot we saw the graves in a flashback when he got the Schrift =) Fire is also Bazz-B, I agree, making him even more stuck in the past and that will in the end kill him (I guess?) =)
@stardustgirl323 Жыл бұрын
@@storieswithstyle i mean, even when you look at it, the Kanji for each schrift has a meaning, Antithesis for example has the meaning of "Rebellious Spirit" or something such, and we know our Ishida Uryu is a rebel, against his father and also the system of Quincy, also yeah, that was his mom's tomb in the scene where activated his schrift which is why that schrift's innate ability made him counter the Auswählen, because as we know Uryu is not a pure Quincy to go unaffected by this power sucking mechanism of the Bleach universe Jesus (no offense), so this is why he survived in the first place. Looking back at it again and again and again, with Kubo's layered way of writing it is always surprising how not the first read or watch makes you understand it all. And I must say there are some people who are well-versed in the Bleach lore, who theorise that Senjumaru is neither a male nor a female, genderless much like the Buddhist myth of Senju. So, the accuracy of Kubo's writing is quite fascinating. And yeah for Bazz-B and Jugo it is what it is, or else why would we see the crossbow in the trailer, and I guess they'll all get to see their lives flashing before their eyes as they are trapped within the Shutara Bankai dimensions, and it is where Ishida will take a firmer stand by siding with the Death Gods rather than the Monks of Destruction. So that's it from my side. I hope you add things to my take if possible, since everything we are saying now is a speculation product.

When you see here at the end of her bankai and she has trapped them all; she looks back like normal but her gold arms aren’t on her - her classic look back with her arms tucked away and hidden like normal. If the arms weren’t part of her shikai, then why would they disappear during her bankai use? They would disappear during bankai like so many others. So the needle and arms are both the shikai, otherwise when she looks back at the end; she’s have her arms then because why would they if not part of her shikai
@storieswithstyle Жыл бұрын
Yes, Also she loses the needle twice and has it back again after a while. This might imply that the needle can be conjured like Kyoka Suigetsu can now just be materialized =) Also nice catch with the arms being gone during Bankai =)

I always saw it similar to Uraharas due to their history but I interpreted it as being able to "weave" the fabric of reality. Only reason I say this is because she on the spot creates counters to some of the most broken abilities in the series. Like Lile's X axis is not firing Reishi that can be reflected so to me it made sense she manipulated the fabric of reality to allow her to bypass his spatial deletion ability
@storieswithstyle Жыл бұрын
Yeah, I agree, she weaves reality and fate. I am not sure if she warped spacetime or if the mirrors were mimicking Shinken Hakyoten though. =)

Great as always It’s definitely not this way but would be cool if the whole you will be led into the afterlife line was a way to tie in the hell arc in the future. I don’t think they are doing that though because the logic of the bankai needs to be evident now, in the short term.

Two things: 1. Kurotsuchi means black sand. 2. I don’t recall where I heard this but I think Senjumaru was a precursor of sorts to R&D hence her connection to Urahara.
@storieswithstyle Жыл бұрын
1. Hahahaha that is so brilliant, you are right :D 2. That might be. We know she has connections to Mayuri somehow and as I said in the video, I think she has a relation to Urahara in some way =)
@juanrios6479 Жыл бұрын
@@storieswithstyle I double checked and it seems that Senjumaru trespassed into R&D at least once before. That seems to be the only connection she has with Mayuri, at least so far. The similarities between Urahara and her I would guess stem from the fact that they both have been previously involved with R&D in some way shape or form.
@storieswithstyle Жыл бұрын
@@juanrios6479 Yes, might also be that Kubo associates their theme and the strings with science somehow. I mean, Mayuri also stiches himself together in tybw against a certain someone =)
@juanrios6479 Жыл бұрын
@@storieswithstyle Well sewing involves making things, just like science, so that connection makes sense. Also a couple of things about Senjumaru’s bankai. It’s pretty much confirmed that it’s an illusion given that zanpakutos can only have one element and yet we see her use ice against Gerard and fire against Haschwalth. Secondly a lot of people seem to assume that it predicts the future because of how it defeats the various Sternritters but as far as we know that could just be for the sake of foreshadowing and not an actual power.
@Captain_Sosuke_Aizen Жыл бұрын
@@juanrios6479 Senjumaru'd bankai controls fate not elements. those elements appear because of their fate So IMO its not illusion, its pretty real.
@lo4tr Жыл бұрын
Askin is a weird one for sure... I think the whole thing just comes down to how wishy-washy he really is. He joined the Schutzstaffel, being raised above all the other Sternritter to the highest ranks of Yhwach's army, yet he doesn't really act in the same manner as the others. He stands back, runs away, acts disingenuous, and it otherwise stuck inside his own head, analyzing things rather than taking action. He has the weight of expectation thrust upon him, making him even more hesitant to make an action. Even Gerard straight up told him that he'd be killed if he couldn't live up to those expectations. Remember, even as Nimaiya is cutting them down, he stands there trying to figure out what's happening. Each of the other Shutzstaffel try to attack Nimaiya; not Askin. He fights against Tenjiro by running away, seeking an opening rather than trying to create one. Even back in the Soul Society, he doesn't try to attack pretty much anybody because he wants his abilities to remain hidden as long as possible. He calculates everything to make the best available choice, which is what his weakness becomes. Why else is Urahara, the one individual capable of creating scenarios with no good options, the one able to beat him? So, I think Senjumaru is literally forcing the 'weight' of choice upon him. It's not like those iron plates were coming down particularly fast or anything. Askin could have dodged, either before the spikes hit his feet or simply by forcibly removing them. He could have used his staff to hold the weight back. He could have used Sklaverei to try and break down the plates. There are plenty of options he could have taken to save himself, but the important part is that he was focused on trying to figure out what the best choice was that he had no time to make ANY choice. Even a subpar option was better than taking no option, but he's not the type to do so.

If Uryu "made a choice" to change sides, why would he bring the others back when he got out?...... if he made a choice to change sides and all? 🤔 or am I misunderstanding?
@storieswithstyle Жыл бұрын
So this is of course just a hypothesis, but I guess it will be like this (small spoiler for Cour 3 Episode 1): Uryu did not choose the Qunicy and bowed down. He is not dead, but "defeated" and thinks it might be over, as Ywach also dies. Next episode, Ywach, however, will activate A. I think Uryuus A will automatically activate or he will do so because he feels Ywach returning. He then uses Antithesis to revert the current Bankai effects (but not the future ones, perhaps cementing his choice. Would be even cooler if he chose to not revert them forever, but idk). =) Just my thoughts, though, let me know what you think.
