They're coming up with concepts that are deep enough to have complex strategies and engaging videos on, but simple enough to explain in twenty seconds, making them super accessible to new audiences. @@Empedocles449 depends on the group, and with this particular cast who have "learned" to be suspicious of each other, i'd lean more towards needing the sign. Heck, look at the 1 block club... Grian leaves for only a few minutes and his "friends" immediately suspect him of turning traitor. XD It is the life series. Hiding the cows is the expected norm, claiming vocally that the cows are dead is met with skepticism and espionage, as all of the enchanting table chaos of previous seasons proves. A sign, though? That is more untested territory, and if "we killed them so you couldnt have them" doesnt work, framing it as being the victims of a "prank" could. It is less what the sign itself says and more the existence of a sign with an excuse.

If you build a really tall grass platform passive mobs will spawn, the only thing that prevents new passive mobs from spawning is the requirement to be 24 or more blocks from a player for 20 seconds or more. So if you build a 32 block tall grass platform than there’s no way people will be close to it for long enough and you can get animals
