@@paulawinstead5660 actuall6, they bought it. I think to build it themselves would have been more of a project..a bench has to be built properly. It worked out. When people get together and try to figure things out, that's a Beautiful.Thing! Now they're all friends, how do you like that? The little bench allows people to rest and network as well. Also, one of my new friends there pointed out just how easy it is to get knocked down by a playful larger dog. Sometimes, for an older person, a bench is a safer place while the dogs frolic! All neighborhoods NEED dog runs..Dogs are part of the Community and they are here to stay!

I think it is important for everyone to grow something - no matter how small. In containers, or cardboard boxes.

Even if a person didn't grow all their food but made something that others might need, they could trade for food. People in communities can meet and come up with ideas for things they can make. If I could make laundry soap and you grow food, we could work something out. If I can sew and you can fix...etc.

The closest Asure Standard drop off point for me is the next state over, and it's a $14 toll (as well as the gas expenses). I wait for the farmer's markets to open up and by in bulk for me (a single senior). I love supporting local farmers and the produce is more abundant, fresher, MUCH less expensive and better tasting because it wasn't picked unripe and trucked across country.

Will do the same for my inground large bed for tomatoes and bell peppers. I am running out of space so I just bought grow bags so I can just cram them in around my garden, if I do that I can get another 50 bags lol I think utube created a monster where my gardening is concerned as I only grow what I know I will eat and ALOT of it. A LOT of Food can be grown on decks. Even if it faces the west. You can grow food on state and federal land, but if in federal land you have to report it to the department of agriculture. If you have a 1/4 acre, of land, you can grow most of your own food, have chickens, have a rain catch system, solar generate power, and live in a tiny house. I a have diagram of that plan.

I bought 50 lbs of potatoes from Azure when potatoes were so nasty-looking last year. It was a leap of faith to do it, but when I got them home, I was amazed. They were pretty much spotless and the smooth, thin skins allowed so much more of the potato going into the canning jar and not into the compost heap. Being organic, I saved some that I purchased later to use for seed potatoes this year. All their produce and other products are that good. It's so worth checking out!
