When jp said music is the key to scary movies I felt it. That’s why I cover my ears during em and it makes me feel safer. He has an eye for the scary in the daily and she had an eye for insightful questions. Damn good watch.

Bos Marley same here! I literally woke up early Sunday after seeing it Friday and i knew i had to see it again, it was just lingering in my subconscious and disturbed me in a splendid way, it was a masterpiece . I truly can’t believe how well it came out , I went in the second time knowing the ending and looking at the main family much more closely and paying much more attention to the tethered , without spoilers all i can say is go see it , if you’ve seen it .. go see it a second time! One of the most though provoking horror films of our generation .. well film in general. He broke the sophomore jinx beautifully and I’m so excited for future work.

My theory is the two movies, "Get Out" and "Us", are in the same universe. The "Tetherd" experiment was an attempt by the "Coagula Cult" at creating bodies to transfer their consciousness into, instead of abducting people for that purpose. So "Us" is a kind of prequel.

Ohh! I also had the whole government experiment gone wrong theory but never tied it to the cult from get out! Captain Everyman in the early stages of the tethered project they were involved but the conscious didn't transfer so they tried for themselves and that's how they both connect us is not a prequel
@shardellthomas205
@shardellthomas205 5 жыл бұрын
@@ScottSullivanTV Who said that everyone died? In the original hands across America there were gaps in the chain. So, ideally there could have been areas or states where the tethered didn't take over. I can see the original posters theory as being a thing. Those responsible for the tethered experiment had to have protocols put into place in the case their experiment backfired. The privelege will have a way out over those who aren't as fortunate.

Scott Sullivan it never said everyone was dead and get out could take place before the events in US. If you remember the government project was already abandoned when she was a child, that leaves enough time for those scientist to set up shop in a new town and begin other experiments.

My INSANELY observant 17 yr old daughter just pointed out that Mr. Peele is wearing the EXACT SAME shirt and jacket as was Jack Torrance (aka Jack Nicholsen) in the bar scene with "Lloyd the bartender in the Shining. So I looked it up and.....well.....just Google the scene for yourself! I wonder if Jordan even realizes it. 😬

Jordan is just breaking every expectation and showing there is no ceiling, I literally woke up early Sunday after seeing it Friday and i knew i had to see it again, it was just lingering in my subconscious and disturbed me in a splendid way, it was a masterpiece . I truly can’t believe how well it came out , I went in the second time knowing the ending and looking at the main family much more closely and paying much more attention to the both sides , without spoilers all i can say is go see it , if you’ve seen it .. go see it a second time! One of the most though provoking horror films of our generation .. well film in general. He broke the sophomore jinx beautifully and I’m so excited for future work.

“Did you find Get Out scarier or Us?” I found that to be an interesting question. it’s honestly a tough answer. what’s more fearful? man v. society or man v. man? both movies really pull at socially as well as psychological fears and oppressions. Jordan is really onto something and i’m ALL for it. 💯🔋

Bae Goals wow, I didn't even know that! That's actually interesting if you think about it bc it probably lends some perspective for him when it comes to writing such films. He has a glimpse into both worlds and therefore is able to extract what he needs from each for these genius movies. As someone who's Asian and White, I've definitely found myself mulling over the differences and similarities between my "two halves." He's a genius, plain and simple.
