To be fair, ALL Ramsey personalities have gone through the program. George had 40k in debt, Dr. Delony had six figures in debt, Jade had six figures in debt, believe Ken had some debt. I think the only person who has never had debt is Rachel but she has still worked through the other baby steps! Some personalities are on BS 4,5,6 and others are on BS7.

I hope she hires a very savvy lawyer to go after child support. There are a lot of things to consider. Will the child need braces, go onto further education, play in sports? It's not only for food and shelter, it's for all the every day and every year things till that child is 21. She's not being kind or considerate "thinking about it" and I can understand that because it's just happened but she needs to do a lot of research on to other child support documents and find a lawyer who will get the child support it needs.

@@pamsmith1665 Of all the comments here that created their own narrative from Tiffany's story and ran with it, yours is the craziest of them all. LOL! It's funny how you assumed she was even hoping to have children in the first place. 35 is not old to have children, considering women are having children in their 40s these days. Also, she said "she ended up finding out" which sounds like she didn't know the other relationship was going on. Seems kind of backwards to assume all this from the situation as a complete stranger, but great soap opera plot!

As a mom, my heart goes out to the first caller who is pregnant. I wish I could hug her and tell her it will be ok. 75k is a great income for u and baby. A baby is only as expensive as a parent wants it to be. I would get second hand everything for the first year because they grow so fast. Unfortunately even her being 10 weeks along. If she is looking into daycare she should put her child on the wait list now. I put mine on at the same time and I waited over a year for her to go to daycare.

But, she needs money for that kid and to know that guys medical history, in case the kid has issues later that require a blood transfusion or some other medical issue. Its never easy to be a single parent even if the other parent helps out, but not having any info about the father is gonna hurt the kid in the long run. I have learned so much watching this channel. I make a relatively good income but if you asked me where my money went each month I couldn’t tell you. I also impulse bought items I didn’t need and racked up some credit card debt. Making a budget was eye opening. I first made one based on what I “thought” I was spending and realized how far off I was in some areas. I don’t eat out very often but when I do it’s usually a nice dinner with drinks and I realized I was blowing $250 on 2-3 dinners a month. I’m now more confident with my spending habits, can pretty accurately estimate my spending, and will be debt free by September of this year. My only criticism to the general recommendations these folks make is when they suggest people need to spend the bare minimum and live like a college student eating ramen noodles. I suppose each person’s financial situation is different, but for me it’s like starting a diet and going cold turkey. Eventually most people will binge. Had I thrown every penny at my debt I think I would have failed. I still allow myself a little “fun” money so it’s not so restrictive. At the end of the day it will cost me an extra $250 in interest but it’s worth it to me to have some flexibility to still spend a little on non essentials. I’m sure it’s a completely different situation for people who struggle just to make ends meet.

Solar panels with a reputable company is a good deal. Paid cash for net zero, and the electric company actually got 3 months from me this year because it was a mild winter. Payoff is expected at 8 years on 30 year panels.

Why is Dave advising a soon to be single mom to MOVE out her mom's house right after the baby is born? This is rhetorical, I know the answer. That's horrible advice and I hope she ignores it.

Reverse mortgages are a joke. They tell you that they'll give you a loan against your house and when you die it's deducted from your estate and your children still get the house after that money is deducted. That is a lie. It's not that simple. The fees are astronomical and with their income, they are much better off doing one repair at a time, saving up, and not risking their home.

Last call AJ Denver - coffee shop guy. You also need to consider other factors. A coffee shop will be most visited in evenings and weekends. Will your wife and family be happy with you gone most of that time - a totally different schedule than what they have been used to with you as an engineer? Will your wife deal well with fluctuating rather than a steady income? LOTS of things to consider - this would be a seismic change of lifestyle.

So historically the price of solar panels have dropped by 80% every 10 years. Due primarily to technology gains. So doing a 25 year loan by the solar company is a really smart move. Not so smart for the home owner.
