Quiet little town near the border of NC. South Boston was the second largest tobacco producer until the Great Depression. #america #usa #southboston

Very nice video. I ate at Southern Plenty and Mexican Viejo this week. The visitor center and race track are fun places to visit. I have had good experiences visiting this town. People are friendly enough, very polite (men hold doors open).

A small town that is politically corrupt and Cowardly. Ask the former Police Chief Jim Binner and the assistant town Manager Dennis Barker, who allowed over 20 years of lawfully seized evidence to go unaudited inside the property room, located at 640 Hamilton Blvd.

So what was the internal complaint on Bryan Young. Something about being sexually involved with a 16 year old, some years back when he was wearing a badge and a gun.

Nice video! I moved here back around 2008. Yeah, it's a quiet (about 8000 population) town (not THAT quiet), but considering that I'm now retired, it works for me. (I lived in places like Atlanta, Denver, so I do NOT miss the traffic). I wonder how downtown will work out once they have the traffic going both ways instead of a one-way street.

Indeed regarding peace and quiet.

I grew up in this town. My family moved a few miles north to Halifax, so we're still in SB a fair deal (especially my dad). There's a few "hoods" where the gang/crime rate is higher (my mom grew up in one of them) but there's many good or mild parts of the town, though I hear the crime rate has risen.

Where are the hoods and drug areas I'm looking to move there and just wanna stay away from those places
@johnh.mcsaxx36372 ай бұрын
@@christinarinaldo6238 The hood my mom grew up in was a project home called Southside (or South Side, I don't know if there's a space in the name) though granted I hear it may be better now than what it was like in the 1980's. Nowadays there's a place called Four Oaks where a lot of the meth addicts seem to live. Often if I hear of some crime in this county, it comes from there.

I have a house in Java and this is civilization for me when i have to run to the store. I live five hours away in a suburb of Washington DC but this is definitely a drastic difference than Java.

Overall it is, there's a few "hoods" where you can see more "action," (gangs, shootings and meth addicts). Then again, I imagine 90% of towns have at least one ghetto).
