I think the flowers you call toadstool flowers are called Sweet William. My mother use to plant those when I was a kid. I love those! Those and pansies. They both come in so many different colors and they are truly amazing!

As Mary was putting the flowers in the pitcher it occurred to me that you guys remind me of what I imagine my grandparents were like when they were young. My grandfather was a pastor, and my Nana always had a flower garden she tended to. It was a very happy realization!

Straight in water! Make sure u take enough leaves off so the leaves don’t rot in the water! Also trim off the long bit on the “babies” at the base of your cabbage-get rid of that long stem!!!

Good luck with Mr. Cabbage! I fell like he will root...he looks like he has a strong will to live. lol I know how attached you can get to a plant. I have an orange tree we got on our last Florida vacation back in 2004 or 2005. It started as one of those typical orange tree sprigs you can get in any store down there and now it's a big bush that gets lots of oranges and blooms. It lives out by our pool here in SC until around November and then Winters over in my guest room until Spring. I'd be devastated if it died!

I have been a type 1 diabetic for many decades at this point. I have also survived cancer three times and I have a kidney transplant after kidney cancer. As I understand it, you are hypoglycemic only. There are many things that you can do to combat hypoglycemia but the best and the fastest are glucose tablets. I prefer the tropical fruit ones. Lows are different for everyone, but the lowest I have gone while still conscious is 22. It is very damaging to your brain to go low. Get the glucose tabs and chew them until you are back above 75.

Actually you would do great giving up carbs altogether. Sorry but it's true. Way too much insulin in th body and organs, the goal is to get rid of the insulin, not make more. You are a type 1 diabetic, but please look at how many have come off their INSULIN with significant dietary changes. Dr's haven't clue when it comes to diabetes, they just encourage more carbs, more insulin, more organ disease. Shocking.

@@CissaBlack unfortunately there is no mumbo jumbo here. A low carb diet has shown again and again the benefits for type 1 and type 2 diabetics. Please look at the most recent science and then tell me I'm speaking falsehoods. My husband is type 2 and I have done extensive research for both types. He is now almost off all his meds thanks to cutting down carbs and having his body run on ketones and not glucose. Your body will heal, it takes time, it you will eventually produce the insulin you need. Please do the research, if you want to get better. It's up to you.

Hi Guys , Happy Thursday !! Mary if you are still having sugar drops upon waking , why not have a couple of slices of toast or english muffins with jelly or jam , you got your carbs + sugar !! You have been more active = body using more fuel = sugar drops , you could always try it. :) For a quick jolt , try a tablespoon of sugar in a cup of water and stick in in the microwave for 2 mins . Being hot water + sugar will enter your blood stream faster. Peter you are doing a live -video casting sermon , wow talented !! Ollie is a fearless pup !! + !! , we had a dog once and when we would buy her squeaky toys , she would grab them + make them squeak , drop them and run the other direction , so we would always have to cut the noice maker out for her to enjoy the new toy !! Was bothered by trucks too :( , thanks for the vlog , looks like you really mean it this time , so soon the days , to late the time , the sunrise you will see over NC , take care , CU tomorrow :) , Gary 

I just saw a hack for cooking salmon on the grill. Slice a lemon and cook each piece of fish on slices of lemon. They don't stick to the grill that way. Good luck!!

@@sandrabentley1420 Mary is not a diabetic. Diabetics have hyperglycemia (high blood sugar). Mary has hypoglycemia (low blood sugar). When you eat carbs, your body breaks them down into sugars, like glucose. Glucose is the main energy source of your body. When you eat carbs, your glucose level goes up and your pancreas produces insulin, which allows your cells to get the glucose it needs for fuel. The insulin also tells the liver to take the excess glucose and store it in the liver as glycogen. When your body needs more, the liver can release its stores. In people with liver disease, like Mary, their liver can't do that so their sugar drops. To bring it up, they need a fast source of sugar. We used to have people drink oj with sugar stirred in. That'll bring it up quickly but they need to eat to keep it up. I don't know for sure, but I'd guess that someone like Mary needs to eat throughout the day to keep ther levels up.
