The Tin man costume is great! I never see tin man costumes that look that good. I must visit this museum!

I do wonder why they painted his lips red when they're black in the movie.
@JL0ndon Жыл бұрын
@@MaskedMan66good question maybe it’s easier or to make it different? Older versions of tin man costumes had red lips.
@MaskedMan66 Жыл бұрын
@@JL0ndon Well, the reason they painted his lips black was to minimize the redness of Ebsen's/Haley's gums; after all, a man of tin doesn't have any flesh!
@JL0ndon Жыл бұрын
@@MaskedMan66 oh that’s clever! Yeah maybe for the Oz museum it reads better if ppl are taking pics? I went back and the only times i saw red lipped tin men were all pre-1939 plays of woz

Now there's a place I'd like to visit in Kansas (for the record I like Return to Oz) and it's great that the museum focuses on the full legacy of Baum's stories. I don't know if they would have it, but there should be a picture of Margaret Hamilton when she guest starred on Mr. Roger's Neighborhood on display there

How is it horrible? This museum is dedicated to the first American fairy tale that would become a pop cultural touchstone for 124 years.
