Oh I can't tell you how happy I am to see this especially after I read the biography on the making of the Wizard of Oz and how neglected the munchkins were treated like no names and cattle and paid pennies on the set by MGM...good for them! It choked me up to see them finally being honored! This war generation is almost gone and I am honored that the last remaining munchkins who will soon be all gone-well we got the chance to say we lived in the time when they lived and got to hear their stories and got to see the last remaining survivors of such a classic movie that will go on into the next generation- !

I was fortunate to grow up in St Louis Mo where Mickey Carrol was from. He returned to the city to run his family's monument business but was always involved in many projects in the area. I had the pleasure of meeting him in a parade in the 1980's. He was so kind & talked to me for a long time. I had my picture taken with him. Everybody in St Louis loved this man.

I actually met Jerry Maren back around 2004/2005. I was in high school and working in our television studio, and our drama department was performing the Wizard of Oz, and he came in as a special guest. He was a very nice man, had nothing negative to say about anything. My Tv class interviewed him for one of our programs we put out every evening. I have a signed program from him.

YES! My grandfather from Argentina came to this country because California's Golden Age movies inspired him to come out here and work and of course... Wizard of Oz was one of those standout movies that secured him packing his bags to come out here. He made it a point to raise all three of his daughters and grandchildren on this movie but with me it was something so special. I am Dorothy and he is my Scarecrow, my TinMan, and my Lion. It has become a special bond for me and him and I am going to do the same with my kids, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren ❤

I firmly believe that the Coroner is one of two things: 1. The only Munchkin that everyone remembers. 2. That the Coroner is everyone's favorite Munchkin. Also am I the only one who keeps clicking on 2:12 to hear the Coroner's song?

Nah, I'm sure everyone also remembers Jerry Maren from the lollipop guild. Him and Meinhardt are like the 2 most popular I.M.O.

1. I remember the Mayor, the Barrister, the Coroner, the Lullaby League, the Lollipop Guild, the Sleepyheads, and the chap who says, "And oh, what happened then was rich!" 2. My favorite Munchkin was Margaret Pellegrini.

My goodness these little Munchkins must be 90+ years old now, looking at how young they were in this film and how they are now really makes you think how short life is in the full picture of things
