That is the great thing about JP, is that he is so insanely versatile, you can have pure zoner JPs, counter heavy JPs, and mix up JPs. The best JPs I've seen though are those who utilize everything, truly we're only seeing a fraction of the JP possibilities

He won with Potemkin in GGST I think it’s a matter of when he goes if anything. Though at the very least lvl should be more reliable and his tornado should hit crossup. Bonus points for having better moves to bait DI.

You're right about every JP being different. Even at my low level (Plat 4-5), my JP is different from every other JP I've faced, who are also all different from one another. Some of it may also be because there aren't that many JPs in Plat.

im new to SF, can you explain to me how he is low tier? i literally don't understand, im not joking, he is a 50/50 strike throw character to me (to fight against) but insted of strike/throw he is strike/hald of your hp command grab, hes normals are MASSIVE BIG, and he's lvl3 is straight up broken to me, i tried everything when i see the animation but if he input that shiet at the right distance im literally dead no matter what, i cannot jump, i cannot strike him, i cannot throw him, i cannot supper, i literally don't know whats happening and i cannot find help online, im literally the only one player online having knowledge troubles against him?

I feel so bad for that gief lmfao....he played great in neutral gets a knock down cant follow up b.c of shoryuken gets put into the corner and insta loses the round lol....like you literally have to get a knock down and stop your pressure constantly b.c of wake ups then when u guess wrong u get corner carried into insta lost round. They for sure need to rework him

They didn’t utilize his best asset at all. Gief can touch you 2-3 times and kill you. He deff is a specialist character, but I don’t think he needs some giant rework.

@@dontworryaboutit5490 So online i dont mind playing gief all day b.c if you lose who cares but think about someone like itazan or snake eyez or kichipa who all they do is play this character. The way they designed this character there is ZERO chance you play this version of gief in a offline tournament with any type of consistent results. You guess wrong your in the corner and you lose. He is a grappler that has to condition you with strikes to land his grab in order to get those 2-3 touches, so in order to condition you he has to put on pressure but his OKI isnt good enough to provide constant pressure to properly condition you(or like in 5 he had the vortex that pulled you in giving you a chance). Think about Marisa she can kill you in 2-3 touches as well but she does it from strikes and she has way more tools in order to accomplish that and i can confirm into those options. Gief you are literally guessing, If you are going to design a 2-3 hit grappler they have to have OKI or there is zero point. A better idea would have been to nerf his dmg and give him neutral/options out of the corner and OKI so he can play the game.

You have to actually be decent with Ken to have success. He’s very combo oriented, and his high damage combos usually have the quick run cancel in them. Those aren’t easy to do. The reason he’s so good, is because he has so many tools to mix you up

I feel characters like zangief are super limited in their capabilities because of how long their inputs are and how close to the enemy you have to be. On a high level that slowness in input command just seems to mess things up. There's people like snake eyes sure that make it work greatly but even they have trouble against high level players and hence aren't able to compete to the best of their capabilities. Idk modern controls feel cheap but for characters like zangief, I feel they single handedly improve him by a lot.
