"Forget the show, he looks so much happier now" is a phrase that I love hearing from someone of your caliber, Matt. I hear wayy too many stories of trainers getting carried away with the money involved and forgetting that a happy horse is a horse that will outperform any other. Keep on keeping on, Matt! Routing for all the ponies and people in any upcoming shows!

@@mattmillsreining1 y'all convey that sentiment so well! My opinion too is that you actually listen to the horses and don't just give it lip service. Quite a few trainers of your caliber that don't and not many are willing to find something different for the ones that just don't want to be show horses. It's always a bonus when Karen is around

@@mattmillsreining1 I agree with Josie, the transparency is refreshing. On that note, I have a few questions: do y'all school them with draw reins so their ears are below withers so at shows without the draw reins they're more level? You have said Bruce is on the lazy side lol, so is that why he sometimes does a 4 beat lope at home? It would be great if the next season of the million had a little footage of Karen in non pro.

Miss, I know you have trained your horse according to what you have been told is correct. Karen, your horse is beautiful, I don't understand why since the 80's that the AQHA still condones that headset. You have a very nice horse, the Reiner's have the best balance on the rail at the lope by far. I thought by now the judges in my generation would have fixed the peanut rolling. I'm very disappointed but very glad you were able to fix the problem in the most unusual place a horse can get "hurt".❣ best of luck to ya!

I was appalled you had to remind her to keep her horse moving, after the sudden stop she required of it. Next he will do a tendon..... An obliging horse that perhaps deserves a more thinking rider....? PS, could someone please teach her to change her own tyres?
