That's how it's always been, they only want them while they are crazy profitable after a certain point they'll make more selling them as a new release, like bitmain is always mining with the newest chips months before they "announce" the new model you know for "testing & validation purposes" then you buy it an they claim that little bit of dust inside the supposedly new asic is "just from testing" for 8 months straight lol

Meanwhile Bitmain and all of these previously unknown ASIC manfatures dump their old ASICs as "New" to unsuspecting victums..
@MeatballCB2 жыл бұрын
Honestly, it really feels like these ASICs have probably been on the network for some time (like Bitmain mining with newer ASICs for a while before they go public with them) and now that we're getting close to the end, they're trying to dump their stocks at high prices while they can still get it. That was always my hangup with getting into ASICs, because even if you get the 'latest and greatest' one, the manufacturer likely already has something better that they are mining with.

I get it, this is an advertisement and you certainly covered the risk. Unfortunately, you would need like 13 or 14 of these to mine one ETH in a month. Perhaps it is better to just buy ETH than buying one of these. Spending $14 per megahash for one of these miners in this market is not wise when you can get many GPUs for about $6 per megahash. Of course this is only feasible if you have cheap electricity.

Agree the price is imo at its top if not double what it really should cost, as the people should make the prices and not give in on the prices they want to charge. On a review stance at the end of the video famous last words of wow that's actually getting hot maybe I should take the case off of it while it mines. This is not a advertising selling point for full price, even though miners will do this we don't want to have to do it.

So this is probably one of the main reason why the network hash-rate on ETH is still holding quite strong, undeniably lot of ASICs like this one are currently mining on the network....

I can get close to 200Mh/s with 4x 3060's pulling 400 Watts. So it's double the power as the asic but I can take that gpu and use it to mine other coins, gaming, or resell it for a small % drop in value. Also the 4 3060s were $1600; The ASIC $2800 = $1200 difference that you save; For me it's about $50/mth to run the gpus = 24 months or 2 years of power paid by the $1200 saved buying gpus. This unit would be feasible if it were closer 2k and would sell decently around $1200.
