You will notice that the ball is travelling straight on a line middle box and Wattanabe's foot is outside the box. She will have to reach over to strike the ball and regardless of where you believe that ball contact might occur (directly across, directly across and slightly forward, directly across and slightly behind), Alves already has provided 100% of the front wall as far as where the BALL could go, and that's even if you believe it is Wattanabe's intent/right to play the most extreme cross-court angle possible. So unless you believe it to be swing interference and the "distance" you refer to is person-person I don't see the stroke.
