It's almost as if, if I didn't know better - that Liverpool pre-plan their levels of effort and concentration on the basis of how they expect the opposition to perform then fill in the gaps when it doesn't quite work as expected. Not, unlike, by the way, how it feels like England often do. That's not really IMO how you should prosecute a football match. It's a long journey down but they're well looked after and that shouldn't really happen. Also Stevie sounds like my dad talking about Man Utd - this sort of thing can self-perpetuate into massive negativity when it isn't what they need, particularly when the gap is so large between them and Man City: it's almost as if the game doesn't really work like that. PEOPLE MUST Stop complaining about VAR. We had two penalties waved in the villa game 1 was a small Grey Area. I can give you plenty examples where VAR favored Liverpool and at the same time give U just as many examples where VAR robbed Liverpool. Over a course of 200 games or so every team will have approximately the same amount of VAR decisions that go for them as the ones that go against them. Stop blaming VAR. Last I checked they are now making way more accurate calls as opposed to the odd inaccurate call here and there. This is better as opposed to a ref seeing something once off and making a call, i.e. before VAR was introduced.

Liverpool got too many ball carriers in their team. They lack and urgently need a midfielder (Countinho/Firmino ish) that scans the field and got the vision to play through/difficult passes. Curtis Jones = Tunnel Vision/Ball Carrier Gravenbech = Tunnel Vision/ Inaccurate long ball passer. Szoboszlai = Tunnel Vision/ Lacks the confidence to try difficult passes.
