Douglas Emhoff was delightful to listen to. Unpretentious and easy to like. And I especially appreciated that he spent most of the time directing his answers to the audience instead of soley to Stephen. He acknowledged the audience and included them in the conversation, instead of letting them watch a conversation between Stephen and him, which is what usually occurs in these guest interviews.

In a way, he is following two other persons, who had to leave their prior careers to support their spouse in a high-ranking position in Washington: Martin Ginsburg, who ended his successfull career as a tax lawyer in NY and started teaching at Georgetown Law Center, where Doug Emhoff is also teaching. Jill Biden, who was the first second lady to actually work parallel to her duties as a second lady. Could have used worse role models!?
