My generation (and older) grew up playing with baby dolls, when that's what you got, a baby doll to dress and change and put down to nap in a little doll bed, which was sometimes homemade. We loved our baby dolls. They didn't eat, poop, cry or any of that weird stuff!! LOL

As a child my favorite was a bride doll whose hair I ended up cutting. I longed for a Shirley Temple doll. My husband’s aunt gave me 2 of her collectible Shirleys, 1 with a number of outfits from her movies.

I had dolls as a child. As I got older (teens, twenties) though, I noticed that doll makers advertised premature dolls. They made vulnerable babies seems cute and desirable. My friend wanted and got a Cabbage Patch premmie. It seemed vulgar and wrong to me. You can guess what ended up happening. I feel doll manufacturers should apologize. But I don’t begrudge or judge people who like dolls. I just know from where my distaste originates.

When you started with dolls and clowns, I right away thought as thinking…and shelves with hearts. 😆I guess after following you on a weekly basis for the last few years, I have gotten to know you. 😉 Those power outages were really creepy. Those are the days that I am glad that we have solar with power walls installed. It happened a few times that we watched our neighbors scramble around with flash lights while we had lights, internet and electric appliances going without having to worry about when the power will be back on again. I am with Irf on Cash is king. The digital payment system only benefits the bank in the form of fees that cash would circumvent. Government love the digital payment system, because they can tax every single cent as income (whether that is really the case or not). Love watching you two collaborate together and had much fun sourcing despite the screaming. Sending you much love. 🤗I won’t be able to stay for the whole duration of your life get together, but I will definitely pop in and say hi to you and your mom. ❤

Maybe my “heartlessness” is the reason I don’t like clowns and dolls…🤔😆 I love that I can say such things and you “get me.” ♥️ My sister and her guy got solar panels about 4 months ago. (They also got the geothermal heating and cooling!) After the last big storms when people were out of power for over a week, they hosted several people. I think they regretted their decision. Lol I’m kidding!! They love that they aren’t dependent on the power grid anymore! I didn’t really think about the importance of using cash until I met Irf. Now, I prefer it too! 😊 Although I always tipped with cash because I bartended for a hot minute, and I hated that the credit tips ran through the restaurant and we had to report them. 😵‍💫 Awesome, we will “see ya” Tuesday. We switched it because mom and I are planning to do the Rt 7 Yard Sales next weekend, so I’ll need to be up North on Thursday so we can get a very early start on Friday!! 💕

Man oh man you weren’t kidding!! That’s a great haul of Arthur Court!! Love it ❤. Life of Pi was a great book.. I didn’t like the ending though. Never did see the movie. I would have had to stand there & organize all those books. At the very least set them up so you see what they are. The old librarian in me was about to have an anxiety attack watching you go through them. 😂🤣 that was 2 good thrift stores!! Gosh, you were only 6 hours from me!!!

My mom lives just outside of Nashville. I've been through TN twice on business and thought it was so beautiful there. Tell Irf that I love dolls! I've collected them on & off since the early 80s. Schmid musical porcelain dolls. Unfortunately, they aren't worth anything. Most recently, I bought 2 Campbell soup kid dolls dressed as native americans. I also found a beautiful doll that was made in West Germany. And then I have an artisan doll that looks like a cross between Dolly Dingle and the campbell soup kids. They're fun to have, & they make me happy. I hope you all have a safe trip! So fun that you two can travel and thrift together Oh ... I have some of the Madam Alexander Wizard of Oz dolls. Gobs of Kelly holiday dolls ... she's Barbies little sister.

I don’t think my parents would have tolerated any part of a fit like that. There would be the threat of a whooping, and then a swift exit. I don’t think Gramma was prepared for it. She finally did drag her out, but the girl had a complete meltdown and was screaming at the top of her lungs. I felt bad for the woman.

Because you just never know, I carry cash all the time. Secret stash. One day the credit card machines went out at the bins and they were taking cash only. And estate sales prefer cash, they typically charge you 3-5% extra if you are using a credit card. Anyway, fun day, you managed to find some great pieces! I’ve never been to Nashville, but I’m okay with missing out on that.

There is a rescue group in my town that takes in many cats with health issues. Several cats are paralyzed in the back end and they most definitely wear cat diapers.

Oh my gosh!! We should have grabbed them to donate! I didn’t even think about that! We were having some issues with one of our cats who was recently diagnosed with hypothyroidism. She was going outside the litter box (I think the meds were messing with her) so we went on to talk about her and her issues, but I edited all of that out. We have a wonderful rescue that saved the life of my three-legged kitty who I adopted from them, and I pick up lots of things to donate to them. I just wasn’t thinking.
