IDF does not target little children women and innocent civilians, as Hamas targets Israeli children women etc. Hamas also puts these people in harm's way on their own side by using civilian areas to headquarter their stockpiles and launches. IDF takes extreme measures to avoid innocents but cannot completely avoid. The ratio is 1:1 For most armies fighting an urban war it's far far worse like 1:18. This is a defensive war Israel did not choose to fight but must. As such they are doing a better job of avoiding civilian casualties than all other armies throughout history.
