This is EXACTLY what happened to my son, pre pandemic, in Santa Cruz, California. He was beaten up for just reciting the Bible, not reading from one. The Santa Cruz police showed up, told him that he was committing a “hate crime”, and took him into custody overnight. When he came home, his clothes were torn and he was black and blue. I still have the photos. I called the SCPD and they denied ever saying anything. I wanted to sue but my son refused. So we let it drop. A similar thing is now happening in England because of Islamic blasphemy laws, where a 61 year old was arrested and sentenced to 18 months for speaking against Allah. But a Jewish man was arrested by the London Metropolitan police for, “looking too Jewish”, at a Hamas rally. Driving around London and screaming, Kill the Jews, or, Kill the Christians, will get you nothing.

I live in Pensacola Florida and we have street preachers. I love them. I get so happy in my heart when I hear them preaching Gods word. I’m proud for them because they are earning rewards in heaven.

What the Police should have done is encircle the Pastor to stop the assaults. What the Police should not have done is arrest the Pastor. The Police could also have asked the Pastor to please come with them as they feared a possible Riot might occur and could not protect him from harm. But the Police chose to actually arrest the Pastor. Wrong choice.

Jesus used the very same law Pharisees and sadducees practising to bring charges against them. Nothing wrong in fighting for constitutional rights in a gentle and polite way led by The Spirit of The Lord. Even Paul used his roman citizenship when they tried to bring him to court, and they released after knowing he is a roman citizen. Jesus purposely was to set us free and so he has to be bound but for us we are free because He set us free and He is greater Than all rulers and authorities in the world and so you being in Him. We gently deal with wisdom from the The Lord and a power that spirit gives. It’s not fighting but standing in who we are in Christ.
