It has to be Vivi. She’s become too important to the story again for her to not become that final member. I’m imagining that she will appear sometime in Elbaf. She and Luffy need to be together when cobra’s message is passed on. It’s like with Jimbei where he had to be away for while before he could become a full member. Vivi has done that now as well. She can’t go back to Alabasta, as I imagine it’s going to be WG controlled now.

Personally, i think that if there is really going to be an 11th member, it'll be either Vivi (technically already considered a member, will be in important in the future and has nowhere else to go) or Bonney (Apprentice is the only "role" that makes sense to be fulfilled this late into the story, as the crew actually has experience to teach her). Though to be completely honest, i think any character travelling with the Straw Hats right now is going to basically be, for all intents and purposes, a "member" of the crew. If we're really on the Final Saga and there's a big war coming up i don't really see much room for "Oh, this character was invited and/or could/wants to join and they'd love to, but they have more important things to do in their home country or whatever" like we saw with a lot of perceived candidates through out the years. I guess it'll depend on how Elbaph ends, if it somehow ends up in a stable enough state where we could leave any possible candidate there safely, but we'll see.

ngl idk if they would let someone join this late, jimbei was introduced a while ago so he gets the pass. (granted i havent finished the video, i may edit this) edit: i do wanna add that yamato or vivi joining definitely isnt out of the question with when they were introduced. (and them both being good candidates for joining, seeing as they both considered joining before deciding they have duties they must fulfil.) either could be log booker, yamato having seen oden's log book would have even more reason so have that as her job, with extra fire power with her strength and devil fruit as a pretty good bonus maybe this is coming from me just disliking vivi (idk why either) but i kinda like yamato and she meets every criteria (she was introduced in wano which *is* pretty late buuuut-) she is kind and has good chemistry with some of the strawhats already, and is pretty dang strong (which is basically luffy's only criteria) but she also has a role she can fulfil. granted the whole log book thing is under the assumption that the story is gonna go on for a while longer. otherwise she wouldn't really have much of a job to do. as for the having "missed a lot" thing, if i had to guess, robin has been logging their adventures until now. just as there were people taking the role of helmsmen before jimbei more permanently took that role.

Here's a crazy idea. What if it's a member of the worst generation we haven't seen in awhile? Mad Monk has shown up to see kaido but luffy needs someone for guidance around the area. Possibly to help him get to the last island. If not him then maybe a former enemy or marine? Bouncing crazy ideas around moria or aokiji both have reasons to get revenge of blackbeard or other groups. Even Mr 3 or buggy could be forced into situations where they have to help again.

I 100% agree. One big thing for me is the parallel between Yamato & Oden. Oden joined Roger’s crew to go to Laugh Tale. Yamato says she is Oden now, but has to explore Wano like Oden did FIRST. I believe Yamato will join the crew officially, later, just like Jimbe did. Also the fact Yamato met Ace & they specifically talked about Luffy. There is such a strong connection there that I feel like it would be a shame if Yamato didn’t end up joining

There are characters that have have the record corrected or "chased off" to go to sea. I think with oda all of those are possible with the size difference being the biggest (but not an unfixable) problem.

Vivi is the final Straw Hat. After recent chapters, it's clear that she may have a part to play in the Elbaf arc and the upcoming final arc. Maybe she'll finally reunite with her friends until the third act of the current arc just like Jinbei did in Wano.
