I think it was Totally Not Mark who did an Analysis on Robin about how Oda draws good vs evil characters and you can tell Robin is good by way of how Oda drew her and that is evidence when Luffy is on screen, but nothing in terms of Luffy's direct laughter.

8:00 - actually, what really kept her going was her dream of discovering what happened during The Void Century 900 years ago. she felt she had ran into yet another Dead End at Alabasta, so at that point she was like "just let me die." but Luffy was like "i dont let people who helped me die, kill yourself later if you want, but you're coming too." then in Skypeia she was given hope about her dream, reading the Poneglyph written on the Bell by Gold Roger (Gol D. Roger) however by that time she had grown attached to how innocent and pure the Straw Hats are, so when a Buster Call was threatening to ruin her life again, she threw herself in front of it like Piccolo in Dragonball saccing himself for Gohan. i tie these parallels of course because Oda was inspired by Toriyama's works, especially THAT piece of work.

The first time I saw Robin's backstory and her declaration that she wanted to live, I felt things but I didn't cry. I don't know why because it has made me tear up quite a bit since. This was hard to write because I have the video replaying and just as I got to this comment, you got to Merry's voice. And that will destroy me *_every_* time. Dub, sub, doesn't matter, hearing Merry, especially in this scene, will consistently knock me on my ass. I watch a lot of reactions. I've seen that scene in more than a couple dozen times. Sanji's loss wasn't due to being horny 24/7, he is just sticking to his principles even in face of death. Something that will be made apparant why he does that later on. Its honestly a huge character flaw, but this is one thing I like about Oda...he gives everyone one or two flaws alongside their best traits...Luffy is simple minded foodie despite being wise at times, Zoro can be very lazy despite being the most dedicated member that keeps everyone in line and keeps captain in check, Nami is obsessed with money but without her ship really can't go anywhere due to her skills in navigation, chopper is naive as balls despite being a doctor, ussop is a liar and coward but he manages to make his lies into reality and cowardice into bravery, Sanji is lusty and chivalorous to a fault but he has both brains and brawns to make up for his faults. Its very much because of his flaws you can almost expect what might come out of his mouth. Strawhats are actually a bunch of Individuals doing their own thing, they aren't organized nor have some sort of philosophy...this is why when they fight sometimes its all messed up and they dont get into fight with right opponent which either they can defeat or match and then eventually shift to the different fight where they shine better. Like how Ussop was garbage match up with that wolf, also horrendous match up with Zoro because Zoro doesn't even try to play any tricks. Cunning wolf got slapped to oblivion by Sanji who is neither intimidated by him nor tricked by his naive lies but Sanji himself was a bad match up for Khalifa who is a woman and also plays it to her advantage as a superhuman soldier who was later matched by Nami who despite being weak made up for it by her intelligence and specialization. Another Example of such a character Like Sanji is Kenichi in HSDK, he refused to hit women and would only be defending himself against them or use non threatening grapple moves to the extent that it impresses people how much he is dedicated to his principles. It takes huge guts to stare death in face and stick by them. While Sanji could've broken them and defeated Khalifa, he is always chosing not to do so. This is both a flaw and strength of his character.

in One Piece, almost every Straw Hats moral are passed on from someone who either raised them or their benefactors. This is especially true for Sanji, a child raised by a pirate who raided the ship he was on. Obviously, he isn't going to have the perfect moral code considering who raised him. In fact, for what Sanji has gone through, it's a miracle he didn't end up psychotic or edgy. Him having the biggest heart is his biggest strength and flaw.

Hey bro I was watching your video for the first time But at 7:18 when I realised you don't watch the sub (even though you, like many other people can) so... • I'd recommend you to watch the original version in Japanese (or at least the Japanese, if you're going for the remake) Because, it's the original version not the dubbed which ABSOLUTELY DOESN'T FEEL LIKE ONE PIECE, watched some shorts & reels of it, Sometimes felt like they tried to make it American instead of translating it, Other changing than references that's different, but felt like an American animated show WHICH ONE PIECE ISN'T.. ... .. Now I think I'm doing to much, SO, just for reference watch these 3-4 scenes only, not even asking for episodes, just watch these Scenes in original Japanese (Sub) version • Gear 2 reveal & First Fight in Gear 2 (both are in different episodes) • Dere shi-shi-shi laugh first time & Saul & Robin Goodbye - to - Robin on the boat escaping the island, this whole sequence. • Final 7-8 Minutes of Zoro VS Kaku. In Japanese (Sub). • Luffy's Gear 3 Reveal & couple of minutes fight after that & • The Final One, The Goodbye sequence of 7-8 minutes with Going merry!!! .. Now, I request you PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE🙏 As a one piece fan myself I request you from the bottom of my heart to watch one piece in Japanese(Sub), because it's AT LEAST 3X better in Japanese than in Dub, check for yourself by washing the scenes above... Please watch one piece in its original form, in Sub. You've ruined a large chunk off your experience by watching the sub please don't do that from here & now.. I'm going to watch the rest of your video, if I like it overall, I might subscribe too...!! ... Just go through the above mentioned scenes as I have mentioned them or watch those specific episodes BUT DO WATCH THEM, AND THEN Device for YOURSELF WHICH WAS ACTUALLY BETTER...
