We must ALWAYS ask God to tell us loud and clear when we are proud, arrogant or anything else ungodly. If we’re not convicted by the Holy Spirit of our sins, we can’t acknowledge them to God and ask Him for His mercy, grace and love. We really need that conviction - it’s such a blessing.

God is sooooo good. I thank God that we can ask Him to show us any area where we are not pleasing to Him and He will. I remember when He showed me I had pride and I didn't know. He showed me where I was judging someone in my heart, although I was defending that person to others. He has shown me other areas also. I am so thankful He does not leave us the way we are but shows us where we are wrong so we can repent. He loves us sooooo much!

Great teaching! Pride is THE original sin, leading to Satan’s fall, and the fall of Adam and Eve, leading to Cain’s sin which led to Cain murdering his brother. On it goes, pride is the source of nearly ALL sin! You can’t learn if you’re prideful, because you then think you know it all already. Humility is key! Look at YESHUA’s example: meek and lowly. Messiah was humble unto death on the cross.

I think humility is certainly a good way to live and to teach yourself to live and we should be careful of pride, but we have to also be cautious with this scripture because there are many who claim to be Christian and are Satan's disciples who will use this scripture to take advantage of our youth and elderly and so we should use caution by looking at the fruits of the spirit, ( how they live and what way is their request beneficial to God), and these are some of the ways we should gauge who is using a scripture accurately, by doing God's righteousness that has nothing to do with fleshly pleasures, but which should please and give thanks and glory and benefits Gods in obedience to His Word in the Bible. Also this is why we must study in order not to be mislead.
