What’s most unique is that it feels like you’re running around a breakable map fighting instead of regardless of visuals being on a flat ground to fight by comboing set moves together. It’s its own game with a lot of different systems within instead of “look at these 4 attacks we made.”

Something I really love About jujitsu Shenanigans is how simple it really is and how basic the animations and effects are like there’s not super crazy auras and cutscenes for attacks that take like 20 seconds it’s just fun punch and semi flashy moves

the thing the makes jjs and heroes battle grounds so good is that instead of copying sbg, heroes tried expending on the battlegrounds formula with new ideas and try new machanics that were never implomented and unique movement system, and jjs tried to re-imagene the battlegrounds formula by focusing on chaos and veraity in options and uniqueness more then the combat.

Heres a suggestion for some stuff, im not posing in dis since its not refined but this is a general idea, in case you want to make a suggestion or want to use something I wrote as a base for a rework, not sure what tho. Megumi could use a wcs type domain in place of mahoraga, (would put on cooldown for 60 seconds) and elephant could get a variant like bull, snake could get a variant with it dealing no damage but at the end of snake itll spawn round deer for healing, and shadow swarm could remove domain invasion in place for contesting a domain from the outside, where people can enter and exit, and it'll stay open a second after interrupted, so the megumi can choose to go in or save someone, still hp drain. base, remove rabbit R, its kinda useless, frog could get R variant like bear-trap, nue could be reworked to be unblockable uncounterable and manoeuvrable in exchange for short, cancellable windup, and yeah dog could get a R counter variant if active, where it shields megumi for a free no stun attack and slight dmg buff, yeah also R in base could be able to go up walls like splatoon.

i think i started playing jujutsu shenanigins around the time only 3 moves were done for hakari, and when lucky volley first got added and his ultimate i was HYPED, hakari is so much fun when it first released

I think this is where RR fails and JJS succeeds. RR when it was still in early development was jumping on the hype-train that is JJS, edgy shounen characters, battlegrounds games and the summer-break hype. RR doesn't do as well as JJS because RR fails to innovate, by trying to be the "best" it fails to become the best itself, especially with the domain clashing, R specials, destruction, parkour and VFX. It tries to be multiple things at once but fails due to the fact that it only succeeds on a few aspects. It's such a shame since it was pretty hyped up but ended up as another BG game.

Part of the reason why people don;t make games with personalities is most of the time they don't make it. My favorite game ever, combat mayhem, was just like JJS, one of the first games to introduce the stun combat paired with the 4 moves and also had the special moves which you could mix and match with the 4 base moves in the form of pairing weapons with magic. They didn' care about the money yet only ever got like 4M visits. A lot of devs are teens or have college or school and they can't spend a huge amount of time taking risks cause if it absolutely fails thats a ton of time down the drain. But I understand where you come from.

I don’t think Jujutsu Shenanigans is the last of it’s kind (a game that breaks the mold), but it probably is the last of the battlegrounds games that’ll ever bring something so fresh to the table. I don’t think it deserves to be better than TSB (the original and honestly a great game in itself), but it definitely deserves to be the second best (or third, not sure where the battlegrounds community is at, but I hope it is second).
