You're aboslutely correct in thinking Bakugo needs a humbling, but I wouldn't say he's brute strength over logic. He's extremely innovative with his quirk, first using it to launch in S1, then in this arc, we see him fully able to fly and reveal two special moves (stun grenade and howitzer impact). He designed the gauntlets he wears himself, having already factored one of his major weaknesses. It's very subtle, but he showed great leadership potential - Kirishima, Mina and Sero was an extremely well selected and instructed team during the cavalry battle. As well as quickly understanding the weaknesses of his opponents quirks (Kirishima, Tokoyami and Todoroki). Considering all of this, thinking about it myself as well, it actually adds even greater appreciation for Uraraka, who had him stuck in place for their entire match. He comes across very immature, in comparison to Shoto, and is a bully who's been completely consumed by his desire to look strong ahead of Deku, but he's one of, if not the most intelligent in the class. Him or Momo imo, either or isn't off beat. Just some food for thought as you continue. It may help u pick up on the little things he does going forward. But regardless, he's got a long way to go, even at current point in the manga there's plenty of untapped potential. Love all your stuff btw

Bakugou doesn't need humbling. His self belief is one of his best qualities and strengths. I don't buy into the pov that people should be humble. One should have self awareness and be confident in their abilities. Don't brag but be honest in your value and what you know you are capable of.

Bakugo does scream "Die" a lot, but he's not actually trying to kill people. His foul language is just as explosive as his sweat (there are even theories that the reason Bakugo is angry is because of the nitroglycerine in his body - which I don't buy into; but it is worth noting that Bakugo also loves the spiciest foods)

Bakugo my favorite character. One of the strongest students and that’s why he was upset Shoto didn’t go all out on him but did with Midoriya. Definitely OP the only thing that brings him down is his personality but he starts changing in the future and he becomes sooo much more powerful

@@matterlichman8424 what i really like about him is that he change by himself, he didn't have a moment like Todoroki vs Midoriya, well, kinda, but it was on his own initiative, he doesn't need help to improve, when all migth try to give him advice in season 1, he said something like get the fuck out, i know what i have to do, and it was true, the only way to help Bakugo is to make him fail, everytime he fail, he learn and get so much better, that's because he lost to Deku in season1 that he acknowledge Uraraka as a worthy opponent, which in the end give him the victory

The Todoroki family narrative is an arc that is still ongoing even in the current manga chapters really though there are big revelations/key moments that have already been shown up to the current anime so look forward to that! Bakugo is also a character that on the surface is easy to dislike, but has a very cathartic character arc that spans the entire series and has basically just concluded in the current manga so there's a lot to look forward to there as well! Honestly all of the major/major-side characters have awesome characterization and all have some nice arcs that they go through. Ilda being the one coming up with the start of the next arc!

I think youll guys understand bakugo as time goes on. I think here he seems really insecure that no matter how hard he trained, his wins didnt mean shit. Which has to be a huge bummer on your confidence. Like this fight. Its like "Oh yeah bakugo won...but thats because todoroki wasnt giving it his all." So its gotta get to him. Also people really dont talk about or to him without bringing up Deku. Those things pile up. In his own way and moral views, not holding back and giving it his all is really him showing respect. So not getting that back is like a "fuck you" to him.

hes not really insecure, or atleast he wasnt until deku got a quirk. there are different reasons. but another question, why do you guys have to spoil everything? backstory and reasoning is a big part of a story and is explained in the show. there is no need to analyze bakugo, cuz it literally gets told in the story. like you just make certain scenes and half of an episode pointless, cuz you already explained what these parts were going to explain.... like just let people watch the show and experience it on their own.

i just want to tell you . bakugo have to maintence his anger or else he will litrealy die . "Bakugou's anger and constant adrenaline is his body's way of dealing with his quirk and keeping him alive. Because nitroglycerin can lower a person's heart rate dramatically, so if he's not constantly stressed he would literally pass out.

Everyone needs to relax about their thoughts on Bakugo lmao. Most reactors dislike Bakugo and the reasons are pretty obvious. First time you see him he's bullying the MC lol. Loud, violent, etc. It doesn't surprise me. A lot of the people who are praising him are likely manga readers too(or caught up on the anime at least) and probably didn't like him as much as they do now at this point in the show. Now yeah, sometimes I feel like people are blind to his more subtle aspects, which definitely do exist by this point, due to them already disliking him. As the story goes on though we'll see how their thoughts change.

for me when i first saw season 1, it felt like bakugo added the comedy element to the story because of his personality , i liked him from the get go not because i have caught up with manga/anime , but when watching reactors on youtube who take bakugo's all dialogue in literal sense and judge him based on it, really shows you how youtube reactors are as they are making money from the show but don't have a brief idea of emotions translated in anime ,and start making their own theory mid reaction without pausing and then they miss out on details , this just shows they are not so passionate about exploring the spectrums of anime and just react on what is trending (JJK, Demon Slayer, Attack on Titan etc) milk views from it and make money ....that's why shows such as Gintama which is great anime but has a niche audience doesn't have much reaction videos on YT cuz they won't get u views. (this is just my perspective, no offence meant)

I REALLY like how this episode handled the tournament finale... by exposing that there are more important things at stake for the characters than simply winning or losing. It also sets the precedent that this show is willing to prioritize emotional drama over ePiC aWeSoMeNeSs, which to me, made the stakes feel much higher and more real moving forward. I always appreciated the route the author took here with Shouto's loss. I find it very realistic that he didn't completely conquer his demons despite how much Deku pushed him during their match. Emotional trauma doesn't exactly disappear overnight, after all. I think you guys are gonna really enjoy Todoroki's character arc from this point onwards. 😉

"Bakugo needs to use more logic rather than brute force", whoops, the show has made it a point to reinforce since episode one that bakugo is a genius, with his high academic records as well as characters mentioning how he is calm during battles and strategizes despite being aggressive, in all his fights he's never about brute force, I think because his quirk is strong it's easy to overlook that and it appears as if he's just tanking it? He's actually a genius with how he's honed his quirk. Todoroki has the strongest quirk in its raw form but Bakugo wins because of how he uses his quirk in creative ways. Also his fighting prowess itself without using his quirk as well as raw physical strength is better than all, he was ranked first in the entrance exam for a reason. Also his 'die' is just a catchphrase at this point. If you remember during uraraka vs bakugo he says 'she hasn't died yet' he means she hasn't lost, her will to fight hasn't been lost. I don't know if it's your dislike for his character because of his aggressive nature but he's such a complex character, I hope you can see beyond that, he is more of an all bark and no bite character. There's a reason he's the most popular character. Ofcourse you don't have to force yourself to like him! But it will be nice if you can try to understand him better! Ah yes. Even though Deku put Todoroki on his starting line, the finals show that you can't really get over years of abuse and trauma after just one fight. At least Shouto is on the right track.
