For Parker, Chimera ants have ant strength equivalent to their size and since ants can lift like 100x their body weight and these ants weigh at least 100 lbs it makes sense that the ants are so strong without Nen

Rammot suffered the traditional nen greeting like the newbies get in heavens arena. That cause those 3 guys in heavens arena to be crippled but also opened their nen. Wing also exerted nen onto Gon and Killua as a quick and easy way to jumpstart their nen

So farYou can get nen in two ways remember. Either some one attacks you a forcefully and open your nen channels usually getting injured in the process though if you have a good master like wing who attacks you carefully and helps ease them open like with killua and gon first opened the nen or you can slowly train to open them over time the safest way .

Yup, likely how the 3 other disabled nen users in heaven's arena suffered from it. They got attacked by nen without knowing nen. As such, they lost body parts. Chimera ants have a much stronger constitution and biological make up from humans, that's why Rammot was able to tank Gon's and Killua's attack. A side effect of it is having their "nen pores" opened.

21:25 probably a month later, due to patreon, but. as it is explained in the arc of Heaven's Arena, if a person who does not know NEN, receives a hit, their body is exposed to this aura in a brutal way, just as it was the case of rockie's hunters (Gido, Sadaso, and Riehlvelt), who had entered the 200th floor without knowing NEN, for which they had been disabled. That is why Master Wing prevents Gon and Killua, to arrive at 200th floor, without having this knowledge (NEN) and it is he himself who opens their pores, in a controlled manner. In Rammot's case, Killua and Gon hit him with NEN activated, which is why he is now undergoing the so-called nen-baptism.

Some people in this world have unique abilities outside nen use (or at least not necessarily nen). Killua has his assassin techniques, electric and poison immunity. Gon practically has super human strength, agility, and senses. Melody has super hearing and however tf kind of mental gymnastics she discerns what heart beats mean (lol). I could say others but that wpuld be spoiling other character's abilities. So yeah. Idk why you're so suprised with Killua having a snake assassin technique.

Killua and gon are strong for their age but they lack experience and battle sense, this is what the show protrays.

I assume you've been informed, but just in case, only people eaten by the queen can return as ants. The clothing thing I always took as either censorship/ just a way to give each ant more personality that stands out to the viewer. Otherwise I don't think I would've remembered as many of them as I do. I do think a lot of people really expect a lot of Gon after the whole training with Biscuit, but while he did become a better nen fighter it doesn't mean he's anywhere close to being that good at it if you keep an eye on how all his encounters go (it's very consistent). During the exams he usually passed through unexpected amounts of cunning (not exactly the same as intelligence, but definitely not as stupid as people make him out to be), until he got completely outclassed by Gonzo (probably spelled that wrong). Then, after the gate, Gon was strong enough to at least seriously injure a trained assassin granted that they didn't intend to use nen or defend themselves at all (so still pretty weak and still relying on cunning and high durability). After rescuing Killua, Gon went to Heavens' arena where he became strong enough in very basic nen to take down people who also had access to nen, but had little to no formal training and relied on Gimmicks and crushing newbies to win. Once Gon and Killua met the troup in New York they had enough base abilities and potential to impress the spiders because they were advanced for kids, but they couldn't stand a chance in a direct confrontation. Soon after Training with biscuit, Gon was able to tussle with a decent nen user for a bit before getting his shit rocked in direct confrontation; so even considering all the factors Gon had far improved past when he had taken on relatively pathetic nen users. Even so Gon still had to use a lot of cunning to get through, and even after landing a full on punch with his technique, Gon only dealt enough damage to injure and not kill (maybe Gon does have the strength to kill, but would've chosen to spare regardless).

Just remember tower fight arcs. Ur nen pores will be open if u get struck by nen users but this could end up fatally if the one who struck u didnt control it like wing did when he opened killua's and gon's hence there's example of bad case of people losing body parts opening their nen power like the trio asshole in the tower arc. Remember the wheelchair guy, spin guy, smiley guy? All of those guys crippled

A very straightforward episode with a little too much Dragon Ball buildup for my (and their) taste, so I looked it up in the manga but it's still a decent amount of pages with 28 plus filler pages. I guess action sequences take up more pages in general. There still was filler in it, like another mention of the production of weapons aside from drugs, which makes no sense since you would need smelters that could not be hidden from public view. The whole conversation and fight between Yunju and Kite was also not in the manga, only the aftermath was shown there.
