So just a general head's up, this anime uses currency on roughly a similar pricing to japanese yen. So 300 million is comparable to about 2 million ish US dollars. So they went from the modern equivalent of working in the gig economy and sleeping in their car, to just finding out (assuming an even split) that they now each got $500,000 dollars, to then get slapped with a debt (assuming even split again) of about $65,000 dollars. So yeah rough times ahead for the crew but glad you girls are liking the series, it is one of my personal top 10 favorites.

God Blow and Sacred Turn Undead are high tier holy magic, that's why it works like hell vs Verdia, who is an undead/demon. Giant Toads are neither undead nor demon, that's why Aqua is completely useless against them lol.

Aqua attacks also have water element, which toads are completely immune to. This is why godblow can still hurt Mitsurugi, but does nothing to toads. They are just absolutely worst match up for Aqua.

it is unclear whether her water attacks work against the frogs. the novel never says the frogs are resistant or immune to water. aqua only ever punches them and frogs are immune to blunt damage

Dullhan's are from Irish mythology and can't pass over running water (Legend of Sleepy Hollow) so water is a weakness in this world. Aqua is a water goddess so she is strong but her bad luck interferes, the toads are immune to water magic that's why she kept getting eaten

Interviews with Monster Girls actually talked about Dullahan and apparently one of the theory of why Dullahan can't pass over running water is because the fear of dropping his head into the running water and lose it forever.

btw the novel fight was a bit different for this: for one megumin only wiped out the minions and verdia never took a hit from it. also he has armor empowered by the demon king granting him near immunity from holy damage (says alot about aquas power if he still took that much damage). after kazuma stole his head darkness slashed and cut through his armor allowing aquas holy magic to bypass it. also the whole fight was inside the town

It's funny that all the major destruction that happens is not from the villains, but from the heroes. All the bad stuff that happens can be directly or indirectly blamed on Aqua. All the villains are exceedingly nice people. Most of them are way nicer than the heroes. All the main characters are a super strong archetype but with one major flaw that makes them essentially useless in their job. (except Kazuma) He is the main character and yet none of the fame, recognition, skills, or powers are given to him.. he started from nothing unlike most isekai protagonists. In fact, if you think of Aqua as an albatross around his neck, then he started below zero by picking her. If he ditched her, his luck alone would probably change his entire fate around, but he won't do that. These are some of the trope inversions that make this show super funny.

In the Light Novel, the fight was a bit more intense (blood from Darkness, Beldia spamming Curse on the mages and making them fearful of attacking him with water, Beldia states that he has Holy Immunity enchanted armor from the Demon King, so Aqua’s tier one spell hurt him through immunity, and Darkness hit through the armor after he lost his head, so Aqua could get a direct shot with her spell.) Edited - Also, the ‘difficult boss fight’ is a trope from Wizardry, a game series from the west that got really popular (and different) in Japan, where the game was really hard and also had some comedy in it (like a weapon being a Cusinart.) Konosuba is partially inspired by it and the author is a big table top rpg enjoyer and has played them with other authors. Konosuba also got an official TTRPG made.

just a little note, some people got it wrong even the episode stated it: "Dullahan" is the name of his race. It´s another name for "the headless horseman". The individual name of this specific Dullahan is Verdia (or Beldia, translating japanese to english can be weird sometimes). So the video´s title should be either "Verdia returns!?" or "The Dullahan returns!?"

Megumin it's definitely inspired not only in Roxy (from the show we must not speak of), but also in Lina Inverse from "Slayers", another fantasy comedy.

Megumin is a parody of Rikka from Love, Chuunibyou, and Other Delusions. The second LN is a parody of the title, where Explosion replaces a word in the title and the VA for Rikka voiced Megumin in the drama CD, before the anime chose VAs. Not to mention later stuff in Konosuba. The designs are based on classic RPG designs, since Konosuba is inspired by Wizardry, one of the classic RPGs that innovated gaming (the English version in particular, because of the comedy and incredibly hard difficulty.)

I was waiting for this episode to be uploaded before I said this, but in your own time you might want to check out some of your favorite scenes from the first six episodes in the English dub. People will probably favor the Japanese voices but it's worth checking out just because the voice actors for Darkness and Verida go absolutely wild in the english dub. They don't make huge changes to the script, but they make small translation changes and then act the ABSOLUTE HECK out of them, it's a VERY FUN experience to rewatch in english dub
