Alright, I've been in that base more times than I'd like to admit, that office building in the top right with high zed pop is a nightmare. The fact that you actually got out of that alive and completed a pretty monumental goal with so many close calls that would have ended it right then at there at any point, I'm impressed, and I've been playing this game long enough to know where Baldspot and Kate's house is by heart. Funnily enough I learned this the hard way. Sneakers with the 1.1 movement speed helps, I have found in big boots with lots of protection the 0.9 movement speed can actually make you walk slower than them. Jebediah Woodsmansmithson died this way. He's the guy in the beginning with the military getup. 😭

As long as your character isn't tired or exhausted, you'll walk faster than zeds so you don't need to panic. A big mistake is running without a plan/location in mind because that will lead to you becoming exhausted and the zeds eventually catching up.

Honestly, times are pretty tough right now. Snowstorm in my area caused me to drive my car into a ditch and I had to abandon it for now (which is super cool cuz its our only transportation and people need to get to work lmao). That being said, that ending was surprisingly beautiful and poignant; you really have a way with words and I greatly enjoy your commentary

There is an armoury in the military base. It's weirdly hidden, though. Right next to the monitoring room, if you walk to the side, you'll enter a corridor that can't be seen due to the camera POV. Walk down this corridor and you'll get into the monitoring room. You'll find a bunch od guns and ammo in the desks, but there are a few more crates in the adjacent room.

Yeah this is really funny, I guess it is a trailer park in the U.S. In Australia you would set up temporary housing probably made from blueboard and other basic light materials, and you'd call it a village. Another good example would be a display site at a building company, commonly referred to as 'display village'. I think that's what was going through my mind. But I am just a silly guest with silly thoughts, forgive me.
