NIneDJcali It's the settings being used in the video. It takes about 20~ minutes to set up from a new Wii U, which is faster than unlocking the characters. The uploader of this video has done a tutorial for setting up the mode, just type in 'Smooth Lander Heavy Gravity tutorial' or something. The end result is sooo much fun and i honestly prefer it to normal Smash4, there's really no reason not to give it a truy and see if you like it. Try Falco or Marth as they are probably the easier characters to muck around with in this mode, although almost everyone gets crazy new combos and follow-ups (as you saw in this video)

Any TO here? Somebody might do a SLHG side-event... I think it would be quite nice, right? Might end up "just" being a variant of "Smash 64 HD", but, as a side-event - why not? Is there an updated equipment load out so that you can use his online after the special smash glitch was patched? There is a type of custom that gives stronger gravity, so couldn't you use the same load out, but with strong gravity in the speed custom?

+Yoshi McSwaggins The same set in my "New Smooth Lander Build" video. The moon launcher badge adds damage to moves that hit upwards so the killing power would be the same as normal smash for upward KOing moves.

In order for this to work i think imput buffering should be removed so that the timings care (just like Melee), otherwise I find these combos way to easy to execute. EDIT: It's still hype lmao

One problem that I find in the development of this meta is the fact that, as far as I know, you can't recreate this mode in training mode. This is a problem because you can never know if something is a true-combo. Any thoughts on this?Fantastic job on these videos btw. I can't imagine how much time you put into these.

+lpkzc You are right, there isn't a way to use this mode in training mode. Testing to see if combos are true or not would probably require 2 players.

+Nugnugs or you can just look to see if they are still in hit stun mid combo. So do a special game at slower speed, then pause and look at the hit stun.

+NinetyNineNo Some recoveries get affected by varying amounts: Most characters don't get affected, but some like Link, Samus and Ganondorf, get reduced height. Others, like Sonic, Megaman, Duck Hunt and Diddy Kong, cover barely any height and are almost useless. we use customs for Megaman (as his recovery can be abused by falling back onto Rush and giving him the ability to stall matches) and Duck Hunt (because a custom exists that gives him great vertical recovery) Sonic has spinshotting to recover which is no replacement, and as such Sonic players just have to live with a far worse recovery. Same for Diddy Kong, who still has great horizontal recovery but goes like nowhere with his Up B.
