I’m not a big dreamer, by most peoples definitions. I grew up very poor with unstable housing and food access. My only dream for adulthood was to be able to provide a safe, stable environment for my family. It may not be a big dream to others but it’s big enough for me
@butyoucancallmesam2 жыл бұрын
My husband isn't a dreamer. He lives very realistically. I remember asking him when we were dating what was his dream job and he said he never had one. He was in the military and working full-time for a different company, but he always worked just to take care of himself and eventually his family. Family, money and stability are his motivators.

I remember being in high school and talking to a girl and she said “ I just want to be a Mom” I absolutely get it now but I wasn’t bit by that bug until I got older. I thought she was so crazy but she really was just listening to her instincts. I realized what’s more important to me now after being told by society I need to think about career over family.
@lifeisbeautiful94552 жыл бұрын
I’ve heard people say that… I never understood but as I’ve gotten older… my views have changed. I wouldn’t mind getting married but children I don’t know yet 😁 it’s a lot and the way men are now a days is crazy. This isn’t the 90s anymore. People think I have kids but I don’t, because I’m so good with them. I will always want to do something career wise, to make money because there’s no guarantees with a marriage, but I’ve always lead a simple life. I did want to be an actress and singer when I was a kid 😁 who didn’t 😁and in my 20s but I left the industry because I wasn’t compromising and I don’t like the spotlight. I found out I was good at other things.

I relate to this so much, I come from a VERY small town, and grew up poor. I remember wanting to be an actor so bad, that was and still is my dream. I'm 27 now, finished grad school, in debt, and looking for a realistic job. I regret not following my dream everyday now, but my mother really destroyed my dream. She didn't see the big picture, she didn't support me, and now I don't know what to do with my life. Didn't mean to get all depressing, but I really hate how I grew up and not having any support. People need to stop shitting on other's dreams just because it doesnt align with theirs. If they want to chase fame, fortune, image and power; go ahead, but enough with the guilt and sappy stories especially when prioritizing wealth at the expense of building experiences with family and loved ones. Comparison is the thief of joy. Be judged on having made it by what gives you peace, happiness and fulfilment.

I think you need to believe that your dream CAN come true. When it is so far fetched that you can’t believe in the dream because it’s too big then it will not come true. Believing is the key. So it’s great when you are bold enough to dare to dream big. But for some people it’s best to start out small and see how that goes.

Dream and DREAMMM...because with manifestation and hard work, one day, it may come true. The problem is when telling friends and family, and they kill that dream simply because they could not see it. But it was NEVER their dream to see. It was YOURS. Unfortunately, with doubts and negativity from people. People often doubt themselves and give up early. Lesson: Never tell your dream to small-minded people. There are many stories of people's dreams coming true. So never doubt yourself🧡

I don't agree with that mentality, I wouldn't fight for someone that puts me in that position, I can fight for my relationships, i.e., become better at communicating, forgiving, understanding my love, become a better me but fighting against another woman, I remove myself, darling you win, 🏆 you can have him, keep him! If I'm who he wants "No other man is going to do... so I'm saving all my love for you..." There's no love without respect! Ha e some dignity🤢

I’m going to miss them to. But what’s helping me “My Real Fam” is that I’m not allowing myself to think that this is the end; but “THE BEGINNING,” of something BIG for all these Queens. I am 60 years old, and I’ve learned a lot from this program, even at my age. Plus, when a show it’s at its maximum height, then the only place for it to go is to spread out. What I mean the best time for a show to end, is when it’s audience/followers, are begging for more. As these ladies spread their wings, and continue to soar, we will simply just support all 4 of them in their new arenas. Thinking like this has helped me greatly.

Honestly, I think that person saying they’ve checked out means it somewhat more seriously that what this well-intended conversation indicated. I don’t think its a matter of checking out as in simply “spacing out” here and there, but rather check out as in “no longer invested in my own life.” I’ve felt that way too at times, that I can’t really find it in me to work on my own dreams and do my best in the opportunities I ask given because a part of me doesnt care about any of it even though I really want to care, - which is an actual sign of depression. It can manifest at “laziness” or, as the women are saying, loosing focus and spacing out, but it goes way deeper and beyond that. Just want to let people out there know that, this type of checking out is normal too. Feeling overwhelmed and emotionally disconnected can be very scary. If its only for a short period, try to be kind to yourself and allow your mind and heart some space to rest. But if it goes on for long and starts impacting different areas in your life for real, it can be a wonderful thing to seek help.

The more you experience the more your mind will come alive and also sort what it likes and what it doesn’t.
