I’m with Tam and Jeannie, I am a huge hugger! I believe it hugging everyone I love, I meet, am friends with, etc. This is how I see it, you just never know when it’ll be the last time you hug that person. I get it if you weren’t raised with affection and aren’t used to it, but being cold towards people who wanna show you they care about you, sucks. For me, hugs are a feeling of safety and comfort. I’m not much of a hand shaker except for business and work-related situations. I’m a Cancer, so I’m emotionally connected with lots of people, especially those I love and care about.

The reason you like hugging your kids more is because you have control over them. You know for a fact that they aren't uncomfortable. Plus they came out of YOUR stomach so you feel even more close to them and it's like hugging apart of yourself.

I think you're seeing a big difference between the extroverts and and the introverts. Adrienne and Loni both seem like more introverted people. Not that they don't enjoy spending time with people. 😂😂😂 Adrienne, my oldest is like that. She dislikes too much affection. I'm starting to learn to respect her. I allow her the space to express the way she shows love and affection and I'm learning to follow her lead. I now try to give her physically affection in a way that is comfortable for her. Im Asian from Asia,Southeast Asia..i can relate..we dont hug but some families hug ir they hug durinng milestone in life.The modern generation..born 80s onwards hug friends more than the generstion before.For me its for ppl i i care about , admire or comfortable with.I feel there should be boundaries so that the hug means something.Only when i started living in US did i hug in One yrar more than i hugged in 20 years living in Singapore.Only person i cant get benough of hugging is my hubby and hes American.
