This is the only YT vid that compares these two products side by side. Thank you for this. I already have the Tymo ring (comb) but I find it cumbersome and awkward to use, I can't just "comb" it thru my hair. I think I'm gonna get the brush to handle the heavy lifting, then follow up with the comb to smooth out the top layer. Thanks again.

I have the Tymo Ring and I absolutely love it! I have very curly 3C hair and it’s been a game changer. I’m curious about the Ionic brush because it looks like it could straighten larger sections at a time. I see that there was a lot of smoke coming out of your hair, I would suggest using less product or waiting for the product to fully dry before straightening so you don’t burn your hair. Great video!

Hello I don't know if you'd be able to answer but I have pretty short hair and it's thick and curly. Would I be able to pass the comb through my hair directly touching my scalp like a normal hair brush? I'm talking about the ring brush more specifically
@WaitItsMeCarlos11 ай бұрын
That’s a good question. I know that the ring brush doesn’t get to touch to the point it will burn you. But when I have personally used it I wouldn’t let the product stay in one position to long because it can get hot. I would love the brush around. Yes it would take a bit longer to straighten. But that was simply to avoid burning my scalp. But it did the wrong well.

As someone with super thick natural curly hair I was never one to be able to use a traditional straightener and I’m like you I like my curly hair but I also would like to try to straighten it some and add looser curls in it and I think I could use one of these products especially now that my hair is shorter and where I have trouble with one. I definitely think I’m going to look in to one of these. Which would you recommend me trying?
@WaitItsMeCarlos4 жыл бұрын
I personally enjoy the Ionic brush one. The one that visually looks like a brush. Granted I may need to take a bit longer since it’s a bit more spaced out. But I like bigger loose curls. So what I do if use my ionic brush so it’s a nice flat style. Which literally does help cut down on time for a blow dryer or a single flatiron. Then I go in with a curling iron and I get the bigger loose curls and I love it.

So, I’m watching this because I got the ring one, and it feels like it flattens my hair too much and also I cannot brush my hair whichever way with the ring - because of the ‘comb-like’ design of the ring, you can only brush your hair in a particular direction - I also have the GHD glide, which is fine, but it seems that the Tymo does a final smoothing effect. However, o am wondering whether to get the Tymo brush because it will be a ‘brush’ and not a comb - do let me know what people think...

@@WaitItsMeCarlos Ah, okay. I just want to make sure it’s not only mine. I thought my tymo is defective and was thinking to return it if defective. I like it very much on how it straightens my hair. I will just be very careful on the sides. Thank you… God bless…

It just all depends on the hair texture. So all results won’t be the same. These are great products that work differently for different people.

I am a dark skin male with extremely thick afro hair, and I hate it. No one likes this hair in this society either. I have been trying everything to get it more curly or straight. I am trying to get a slicked back curls, similar to jheri curls? Not sure. I may have to try this TYMO.

Hello there, based on what you said about your hair type. I would suggest the TYMO Ring. I personally think that model is better for more beautiful strong hair textures. I like to compare it to an modern style “hot comb”. You can always go directly to their sit that I have listed on my description field. They normally have sales. If they don’t, I do have a discount code of TRULYMKE that will save you 10% off.

No it’s not. What I did use was a spray in treatment to prevent heat damage. However, I may have used to much 😆

You’re welcome 😊 I hope it was helpful. Each of the products are great and work really well. I honestly like the Iconic TYMO for a softer look. But if I want a more fish done look, then I use the Ring model.

And since my hair had grown all the way to a short bob as of this comment the Tymo brush I think is just perfect also for my bangs since I only needed it and no longer need a blowout. Although as far as I can see MKE's hair where the Comb was used is also good though it look weighed down and really flat but I find the Brush side much much smoother and voluminous and lustrous (or is it just me who noticed? 🤔)
@WaitItsMeCarlos3 жыл бұрын
You’re right. They both performed well. I think it comes down to just personal preference in what you’re looking for with the end results.

I love your natural hair. The ring looks best, but throw some curl cream in there and rock it.
