I think, the coolest part about Heath's funky Freischutz EGO, is that it gives him AMMO. So he gets to be in the fight for a LOT more if he's on his Rabbit ID; as well as being kind-of nuts on its own, and looking batshit insane. I love it so much

Thinking about format before this stream happened, I was thinking/assuming it'd be 12 worst fielded sinners for each segment, deployed in order from worst to best with no intentional killing in the same way that railway 2 had no intentional ego resource grinding. I still think that seems like a nice format that makes things a bit more different from the previous two railways and compensates for only being able to retry back to the start of the whole multi-wave segments, and using actively detrimental support passives always felt like the silliest part, but I'm excited to see the end result regardless of ruleset. One must imagine ESGOO happy.

@@yumdle Limbus damage resistance math is a mess lol, it's actually additional, so 2X is technically just 1X + 1X, so another 2X would just be adding another 1X to it, there's a spreadsheet with all the math everywhere

Hey ESGOO, i wanted to ask you whether you think Project Moon is determining the sin affinity of recent ego based off of the main status effect they are built around, instead of lore. Considering the Lore of Der Schütze, I think that either Wrath (Extremely Violent, separates it a bit more from Der Freischütz as Magic Bullet is very pride heavy already, would match the color scheme more) or Gloom (The only reason why Der Schütze fights endlessly is because remembering would lead to the death of his beloved, both Pendant of Nostalgia and Torn Bandolier are gloom affinity gifts(Not a good choice here though since AAED is already gloom)) would be better choices. While I agree that there are some game play benefits to this ego being pride (Helps Queecliff trigger Nebulizer and assist attack without having to use Stalk Prey) I think the primary reason they made this ego pride is because it is a poise EGO. Another Example is the recently released Contempt, Awe ego. The Corrosion voice line uses the phrasing "Burning, Piercing scorn" when "Wounding, Cleaving scorn" would be the proper reference to the combat event. This implies that that the EGO was originally intended to be Wrath / Pierce (At least on corrosion) at least since that voice line was recorded, but it was changed to lust for some other reason (I believe that it is due to it being a bleed ego. I will admit that this still has a game play benefit for bleed team (helps with whistles). Do you think it would would be good for this trend to continue (If you believe that it is happening)? I think that this would lead to a lack of variety among EGO if it goes on for to long (as well a lack of wrath ego since things related to burn aren't that common).

I personally wouldn't say that's the case. Der Schutze has mechanical reasons to be Pride Affinity, but I dont think they did that just because he's Poise. he's also an abberation of the Big Pride Guy as well, and it wouldnt surprise me if a non-Heathcliff version of this ego wouldn't be Pride just because of how heathcliff is as a person (likely gloom, like you say! I only say that bc of pendant of nostalgia tho lol) Awe, Contempt reads perfectly as lust Affinity in terms of lore imo. Plus, spiral of contempt, garden of thorns and MFE's ego all have benefits for being used in a lust Resonance squad, which I find interesting because obviously spiral is the only one doing Bleed. They're more Lust A-Resonance synergy than Bleed support egos like sanguine desire If it was ever intended to be wrath/pierce, I'd have to imagine it was early on, even before they decided it would be for ryoshu, as her ego suit design/the cutscene in general doesn't rly support that outside of the corrosion line (also imo!) I wouldn't stress about it too much is what I mean. If all sin affinities were picked based on status effects then we wouldn't have Tremor ego in almost every affinity.

@@trevorBbracket For Der Schütze, I personally believe the fact that he is an aberration of a very pride heavy abnormality is a reason to make Der Schütze not pride, since it makes them distinct from each other. Also, Heathcliff is not really a prideful person. At the time of me writing this comment, the only pride skills that Heathcliff has are on Queecliff and Öuficliff. It would make more sense for it to be wrath in this case, since Heathcliff is quite violent (And gloom would conflict with AAED). For Awe, Contempt , I definitely agree that the corrosion looks more like a slash skill, but it also could have been pierce, since it leads her sword piercing through the target. However, it is unlikely that they just happened to use phrasing "Burning, Piercing" (Which mirriors that event where you choose Sprial's weaknesses) on an EGO that was probably never even going to be burn in the first place. It is completely realistic that Contempt, Awe was intended to be wrath when they recorded the voice line for Ryoshu, but they changed it to be lust afterwards (maybe even Close enough to the release that they did not have time to replace the voice line). Also, while Lust Resonance is a very important part of Contempt, Awe (Although I would argue you could easily just replace each instance of Lust with Wrath), I don't think yo can ignore the bleed mechanics. The awakening inflicts 15 bleed across all targets, while the corrosion inflicts up to 25 bleed potency, 5 bleed count, and deals up to 60% extra damage (Bleed Potency+Count dependent). Garden of Thorns is currently best used as Lust support, but that is only because Garden of Thorns itself is Lust itself which prevents it from counting other resonance. It's design philosophy is that it's supposed to universally support every sin, and if you were to change it to count towards every sin affinity resonance then you would see it be used in more of those teams. I will agree that the Lust Fragility inflicted by Outis's Ya Śūnyatā Tad Rūpam is beneficial for a Lust Res Team (Even if neither of those EGO gain extra benefits from lust res besides the damage boost). Also, I am not trying to pick a fight, and I thank you for being cordial. I just tend to get pretty autistic when it comes to the smaller details about EGO.

I'll admit a large part of what I said above comes from just analysing the text(s) itself, separated from the realities/mechanics of the game they're housed in (probably a skewed way to look at stuff), ESPECIALLY my personal read of Pride being a fitting sin for Heathcliff (me being like 3/4 through reading wurthering heights also likely has a lot to do with why I think that). it's a super interesting topic to pick away at imo

Dearest Esgoo, No matter how you build around foe resistances, you will get some time to deal damage with stagger. How about making one team that have abyssmal numbers, can't clashes and support passives that are effectively useless and stick to that team for the rest of the railway. As sanity is reset every "segment", bad clashing means worse sanity gain mean worse performance overall! Of course, some segments will be faster than others, but I think sanity will be a major issue this RR.

I personally don't think IDs matter so much in this railway but ego matters much much more so this challenge as it is right now probably with the exception of forgery??? probably will be too easy. Because with enough ego resources, you can use ego on all units turn one and with the right teth ego, you can stagger every unit since envy peccatula cannot use ego on turn 1. Since the peccatula don't have backups in section 2, that makes it wayyy too easy. All the other fights don't have any particularly difficult to deal with mechanics like unavoidable damage or attacks on railway 3 unless its Nelly but shes still easy. So almost everything is dictated by clashes which make this railway wayyy easier since you can just use ego to outclash everything and you are fine.

No way LCCB is worse than base, you have different options, like just rush ammo and suicide her, or Guard/S1 for get many 5 Frag "nuke" turns with all your S3, if she have +2 speed bonus it is viable
