This was Dimash's gift to the Dears on his 29th birthday, saying it was in return for all the wonderful gifts we gave him. What was sad about it was that although the lyrics ask for life not to knock him down or test him with tears his beloved grandfather passed away just over a week later. Although absolutely grief stricken he still went ahead with the concert in Malaysia on Saturday and even though we could see it was taking everything he had emotionally his voice sounded as spectacular as ever and hopefully he will have the chance to take a proper break now and grieve with his family.

Yes, that's Jackie Chan. Dimash was delighted to meet him, because Chan was a hero of his--they are now good friends. Pope Francis was in Kazakhstan for the 7th Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions in September, 2022. Dimash performed the premier of his new song The Story of One Sky at the concert held for the congress participants, and received a commemorative medal from the Pope. The Story of One Sky is an original composition of Dimash's--for his music video (basically a mini-movie released a little more than a week later than this first performance) of this piece, he wrote the story line, composed the music, sings and acts in it. It has a heart-wrenching anti-war message. It is difficult to watch, but a work of art.

Yes the Pope gave Dimash some kind of Award recognizing his world peace efforts. He then flew without changing to sing the Kazak national anthem in Los Vegas for his friend GGG for a boxing match last November. Yes he met Jackie Chan while performing on The Singer 2017. Mutual admiration turned into close friendship and a cringeworthy OST Be Happy for one of Chan's movies. Excellent video but should check out lyrics as they are meaningful. ❤🥰🇨🇦

Letra y música de Dimash, precioso regalo para el mundo y sus Dears. Es su forma de agradecer a la vida por lo que le ha dado y le pide no lo pruebe con lágrimas, no lo deje caer en equivocaciones o situaciones por las que tenga que pedir perdón. Dimash is thanking his fans for getting him this far, but more than that he is contemplating the next big step in his career---conquering the West. I think he is concerned, as we all are, as he spends a great deal of time with successful American producers in Los Angeles. I think Dimash realizes that it is going to be a challenge like ones he has never had to face before. And yes, he and Jackie Chan worked together in China, and yes, Dimash received an award from the Pope. There are separate videos that documents those meetings.

Dimash was awarded the medal from The Pope in Kazakhstan when Pope Francis participated in the opening of the VII Congress of World and Traditional Religions’ Leaders. Dimash also performed "The Story Of One Sky" at the congress.

It’s such a beautiful and touching video. The lyrics are gorgeous and deep and Dimash speaks from his heart and soul. I cry every time I see this video, not because the video is so sad, but because I keep realizing that Dimash is such a humble person who only expresses gratitude, joy and love for his life so far, but also afraid of disappointing those he loves. Who does that these days? And at that age too? What a great human being. He's worked so hard for it his whole life and despite his success he's remained so down to earth, incredibly nice to everyone and never acts like a star. He always makes us think about our own lives. He made us Dears this song and video for his 29th birthday on May 24th, 2023 as a thank you for the support and love as a gift. He wants to express his gratitude for the fact that life has been good for him so far and that he is grateful for what he has and what life could still (good) have in store for him. Gratitude for the love and support of his family, friends and of course his Dears.
