The sentence that stays in my mind is “don’t make me ask for forgiveness.” He doesn’t want to do anything bad to anybody. Dimash has poured his soul in this song. The world should have millions of people like him to make this a better world. Thank you for your reflections and analysis of Dimash. ❤️🙏☮️

Thank you for your sincere, profound, reaction. I don't know if it's my problem of excessive sensitivity... but your words on Dimash deeply moved me, because they helped me understand even better why I was completely overwhelmed by this special artist and human being Dimash is a "gift" that life has given me❤❤❤

Wonderful reaction! The hour glass at the beginning has dark colored sand where at the end it looks like gold. It struck me that the alchemy of a life lived in love and gratitude turns the sand to gold. The chess pieces reflect Dimash’s strategy of choosing his own path in life, not following the false illusions of the music industry. Dimash is very aware of the fleeting aspect of life. Just after this video was released for his birthday, his beloved grandfather who raised him passed away. We dears all came to love him as well. Dimash continues this theme in Omir Oter, which means life is fleeting. I would recommend that music video. You will be amazed at Dimash’s creativity and appreciation of history. He is most humble, realizing this could all be taken away at any time. Which makes it his most endearing quality. ❤

Dimash released a MV some time ago that began to explore these issues , its called Omir Oter, I think the MV is the best version, was actually the first. I was astonished at his maturity exploring the nature of fame and celebrity, in the face of time passing, also in the presence of his ancestors.. Please react to it, its somewhat neglected. Greetings from Cape Town, South Africa. I really appreciate your in depth reactions to Dimash, I agree that he is a shining light in our world, and am fascinated to witness his unfolding impact on us!

You are correct. If you ever watch interviews with Dimash, he never thinks he has reached his best and continues to train. He never takes credit for his talents. He credits God, his parents, grandparents, teachers and fans. He never fails to thank those who work with him. He genuinely wants fans to be well, happy and just to move us with his music, which of course he does. I think you will find that the fans of Dimash love Dimash as a person. We may not know him personally but we all love him, want the best for him, worry about him etc. Fan clubs do charity events in his name etc. He is not like most stars. There are about 7 or 8 videos out there which are titled as Guides to Dimash. You get to know him much more.

During an interview Dimash said that he believes that many of his Dears “idolitize” [idolize] him and he reminded us that he can be angry or upset. That he is simply human. That’s a sense of self-awareness that I don’t think I could sustain.

This song is special. Usually other people write the lyrics for Dimash (with his input, of course). This is the first time he wrote the lyrics himself. This song is extremely emotional for me. I have followed him since he performed SOS on Singer in 2017 (1:20 in his video). So many memories... I still cry. There is heartache in those pictures as well as joy.... from those telling him that he wouldn't do well with his style of singing in the beginning... the murder of his friend Denis Ten... or the disappointment of his time on the World's Best. The footage displays the rollercoaster of life perfectly.

I agree with you. Dimash always keep his words to his fans and I'm the witness to that. During his Stranger Tour in Kuala Lumpur, his beloved grandfather passed away 10 days before the concert. He was devastated and mourning for him almost cancelled the whole concert. But to our amazement, he did not cancel it and carry on with the 3 and half hours concert. All of us that night can see sadness in his eyes and his inner struggles during the concert. I'm so blessed and grateful to live that moments with him❤❤❤❤ He explained that his late grandfather remind him the important to keep to the promised. It is uncanny how you can interpret who Dimash is through this song. You can gain more insight into Dimash by watching a series of short videos entitled, The Ultimate Guide to Dimash. I believe it is a total of 12 videos and they contain depths of Dimash that the public does not see, through interviews with people who know him intimately; whether it's professionally or with his inner circle of friends, and family.

"Lets us live our lives, such that when we come to die, even the Undertaker will be sorry" Mark Twain. Dimash's philosophy of life epitomises this in all aspects. He has made mistakes on the stage - but just observe how he deals with them - one time he even forgot the words of a song!! He has said, that he rather wants people to appreciate his message and how he communicates this with every note - I really think he choreographs every note, than talking of his range that he describes as "a bonus". I have seen him live and I can testify to his warmth, humility and other qualities we would wish for in all of humanity. I loved your reaction to this - it seems that Dimash wants to convey depth and meaning to life. Dimash is funny and naughty sometimes, that I love in him. Some of his covers of Queen, Laura Fabian, Celine Dion, Michael Jackson will delight you and give rise to more psychological insights in your future reactions! Here's to the next one!

Saludos Chile 🇨🇱

I think you've gotten Dimash's message, life, talent, and goals down to a tee! I agree with most of what you said. Thank you for such a beautiful and respectful 'reaction' to this. I believe we are eternal beings, here to learn how to treat others. That death is only a 'graduation' to our eternal life. That Earth is our school to learn how to be our best selves, and what we learn, we do get to take it with us. Just nothing that belongs to this earth.

I agree with all you said. I think that Dimash knows where he came from, why he is here, and is doing his absolute best to make it happen. The journey contains a lot of very pleasant rewards that he is very grateful for, but they are not the reason for the journey. Kazakhstan is a very beautiful country on the Great Steppe, that has rare earth minerals that China buys, and some oil and gas, as well as horses and herds and was quite nomadic, but with a sad history as surrounding tribes from afar would raid and takeover at times, and that is where some of Dimash’s sad songs come from. About 18+million people from multi cultures live there, Moslems 60%, Christians 30%, other 10%, and quite a wealthy nation from exports, and the Illuminati set up camp there, but out of view, I think, and they did infiltrate the government, but it seems they did not try to destroy the place as it was convenient not to. Russia (Putin) kicked the New World Order out of Russia and would not comply with the Illuminati run United Nations in their bid for world power (the One World Government thought of in the 1600s), and that is why they recently went into Kazakhstan ( which was part of the USSR) and took the Illuminati right out of there, and now are taking it and it’s Natzi NATO takeover out of Ukraine. Russia, India and China are all part of the Alliance, White Hats, Intergalactic Federation, and President Trump and the good part of the American Military, and parts of all militaries around the world, together are ridding us of the NWO Communistic Police State worldwide that was planned by the Freemasons and other secret societies from back in the 1600s. So I said all that as a backdrop for Dimash’s unusual and beautiful attitude, since he is a non political Moslem in a multi-cultural environment, and the government there has created wonderful education including the arts, which has helped him since childhood, and his parents were quite famous there working in the musical arts, and his mum is an operatic high soprano with staccato (like Dimash is) and she sings onstage with his dad, so they are a very musical family, and his grandma enrolled him in a piano and singing academy when he was 5, and walked him there, stood for 2 hours at a time and walked him home again with terrible arthritis. He has a lot to be grateful for, and he is extremely grateful. But, that is not enough if you do not have what it takes for all this. Dimash was born with his destiny known in advance, and he has the drive and focus to fulfil it. He has exceptional talent, but he has been happy to put his all into this destiny. As a boy he would go outside and send messages into space about his career, and I would call that praying to our Higher Source/God. That is very advanced for any boy. So this song, I think, is him pleading to God to assist him not to fail in any way of completing his mission. And I have never seen any young or old person achieve such a broad coverage of earth with his offerings that come straight from his heart. That is why I say he is next to Jesus. Dimash’s influence is empowered from above because he complies with God’s will to his utmost. I hope this conversation does not offend, but it is meant to show off a bit of God’s operations in this present day and age. We are about to enter a new age..going fron 3rd Dimesion living to 5th Dimension, and Dimash’s music and songs will be in there for as long as they are needed…something to look forward to!

Beautiful reaction, thank you ❤ I only noticed the last shot just now, Dimash looking at us for the first time in the video, with pain & tears in his eyes 💔 Which makes sense, because this song is sadder than it would appear in the translation of the lyrics. It's actually quite raw, he talks about disappointment, people being false, him feeling lonely. He really hasn't been so vulnerable with us before, and I'm so touched. Plus a bit mystified why this got lost in translation..

You’re absolutely spot on with your summation of Dimash’s qualities. I’ve never appreciated an artist the way I appreciate Dimash. He is an extraordinary human being. His love for his grandparents & his parents, his desire to have them, & his country, be proud of him, says everything you need, I need, to know about him. He’s aware of his hug3 talent, of how loved he is, and he knows it could be gone in a flash. You’re right, I think, he’d choose the love over the fame, every single day. His “The Story Of One Sky” touches on what his aim is, what he wants to help bring about. What all genuinely lovely human beings want: Peace, for the world and all people on it, and an end to the suffering our “leaders” too often force their people to endure. It might be an unattainable goal for one man, but it’s the best goal one can wish ones hero’s to have. Love from Annie, in Cornwall, UK. 🙂🌸

Dear Dr Nic... Wow. Thank you for this incredibly deep, insightful and heartfelt reaction to Dimash's 'Omir'. Yours is certainly the best I've seen. And, you have a new subscriber. One part in this video has haunted me after his Papa (Grandfather) passed away about 3 weeks after it was released. Other Dears have referenced this and that perhaps 'Papa' was ill and his passing was imminent. I don't know the details or if Dimash was consciously aware of what was coming. But, at the exact moment he and the elder woman are speaking with his Papa on his phone, the lyrics say, "Fate, just do not test me with tears..." He then holds up his phone, showing his Papa's face. I don't know if this has occurred to anyone else, but to me, this is utterly prophetic if he did not know. The entire tone of the video is melancholy, as someone else pointed out. It's as if he knew at least at some level what was coming and was almost pleading with Life... with Fate. I know during these times in my life, I have done my own share of pleading with the Universe or God. I believe it is a shared chord that resonates to the core of one's being when one is faced with the loss of a loved one. Then, in his address to an audience in Malaysia, he spoke of losing his Grandfather and the wisdom he shares perfectly exemplifies the beautiful soul that is Dimash. I hope it is all right to share it here. It was posted by Dimash World: kzbin.info/www/bejne/q4WynIukqql9f7c Thank you, again, with Love and Light from Oregon. 💜☮💜

Hi Dr Nic 😊I think you would really like Dimash - Omir Oter | 2021- Reflections on the transience of life, its meaning, and the eternal question of how to walk your way with dignity and how to leave a trace ... This was my favorite from the Dimash Digital Show that Dimash graciously gifted us Dears during the pandemic.

Dimash wrote Omir as a gift to his Dears and released it on the occasion of his 29th Birthday- May 24, 2023. Our Dear Dimash is such a pure human. In the Western World and in most cultures, gifts are given to the birthday celebrant. In Dimashtan (Dimash world) he gives his loved ones a present on his birthday.

From italy

Thank you very much for taking a look at this beautiful expression of Dimash's introspection. I knew you'd like it and conclude, as you did, that he is truly a beautifully complicated person and a deep thinker. Now, perhaps, on to the MV of The Story Of One Sky. So much depth. You are going to love looking at it!💥

Thank you so much for this reaction, and you really seem to 'get' him. You are also spot-on in your comment that in a choice between fame and family, he would choose his family, every time. I'll join others in recommending Omir Oter (kzbin.info/www/bejne/bofVdnmmqpmGbqM), described as 'Reflections on the transience of life, its meaning, and the eternal question of how to walk your way with dignity and how to leave a trace'. And also LiLaSi's series on Dimash himself, 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗨𝗟𝗧𝗜𝗠𝗔𝗧𝗘 𝗗𝗜𝗠𝗔𝗦𝗛 𝗚𝗨𝗜𝗗𝗘 (kzbin.info/aero/PLIGVyLq6etukcAI6pyk7IxA5SqKLEWxSp)

Dr. Nic, thank you, again, for your sensitive and insightful analysis of Dimash’s Omir.. your wise perspective on the fleeting nature of life really touched me and made me question my existence. Please react to Dimash’s magnum opus, The Story of One Sky MV, as well as the live performance from his Almaty concert. Both are stunning and not to be missed, but brace yourself. If you have a chance, I'd appreciate your comments about a video from Anna D.'s channel in 2019. She entitled it "Why dears love Dimash so much." If it is too long for you, perhaps it can be split into a couple of segments. Her video includes clips from multiple interviews with words from Dimash himself and people who have known him personally (including his mother, a childhood classmate and many others). It shows segments of his outdoor concert where he and his fans got soaking wet together in the pouring rain; it reveals a lot about Dimash as a person. Since I first discovered Dimash this spring, I have listened to him every day. His example and his music prompt me to feel and show more love, gratitude and joy in my personal life. It's odd how a musician can have such a profound effect on a stranger thousands of miles away -- but I'll take whatever goodness I can find in this world right now. kzbin.info/www/bejne/np-tZX2qrrl4nck [Subtitles or notes are embedded inside the video itself.]

He is VERY HARD ON HIMSELF ARTISTICALLY! PERFECTIONISM. I think, about the only mistakes in his PERSONAL LIFE, he would ask forgiveness for would be, his not being able to attend all the charity requests and for not being with some family members due to travel and work.

No. He dosnt buy in to his own greatness.. HE, of all people, doesn't like talking about his range, his highnotes and so on. He always answerers in the lines of - that's not important. He only wishes to provide a special moment to the person/s listening to him... He has also said that his dream is to use the platform that he has been given, to bring people closer together in acceptanse, respect, Love... People from ALL religions (he himself is muslim), ALL ethnicities, ALL walks of life.... 🙏😍 He's a true peace bearer, a great humanitarian, who is quite worried about the state of the world today... 🩵🩵🩵

I think you would love the song 'Samaltau' from the Tokyo Jazz festival 2020. It's an old song about an man from Kazakhstan who gets drafted into the Russian army and had to leave his home to fight in world war one. He's accompanied by traditional Kazakh instruments, and the sting really has something very special. The best way to describe it is that i always feel homesick to a place i have never been to when i hear it.
