I too am a saxophone. I wonder how I came to exist. Were my parents also saxophones? I am befmuzzled as to how 2 saxophones would go about procreating. However giving birth would be quite a breeze I assume as the bell end is quite large. Hmm maybe it wouldn’t metal on metal you know….

The kids won't care if the band director doesn't care. Hebron and its middle school feeders have several band directors and they are carefully picked and well trained. Their training comes from an extremely robust mentor network through TMEA but also DCI. These are teachers that REALLY love their jobs and they plant the desire to be good as early as 6th grade. So it starts really early and the culture is built on year after year. Andy Sealy also has a carefully constructed procedure that runs like clockwork....but more than that he's also a director that encourages strong student leadership and allows the students 1st chair to last chair to have a tremendous amount of ownership over their program. When band isn't just a class where a teacher is telling you what to do, but rather an organization where the strongest wills are given the power to set the pace and enact change among their peers...other kids will fall into step and a culture is created where the students genuinely want to succeed.
