I'd give that cop a solid A-. He didn't lie, he didn't escalate, he didn't give directives, and he didn't go on some protracted fishing expedition. He asked for ID in a very passive way and immediately dropped it. Spent about 30 seconds talking to you and, as the report indicated, he advised the company that you were legal. Seems like a pretty good encounter.
