The surface noise on those records is harsh and appropriate, it really represents what those records stand for. Stephen Coates is a genius of our times, The Real Tuesday Weld is an inspiration to all artists. All art tends to be better when the artist has to fight for what he or she believes in, and that is because he or she needs to believe in it in order to create it, it's not given to them. As so beautifully stated in Dreams that Money Can Buy, "things could be tougher, and after all, an artist has to suffer."

OMG Stephen did a TED Talk!!! Why did no-one tell me? Russians welded bootleg XRay bone-machines. Of course. "An extra 2 years because he was writing and recording his own music". Of course. "We should maybe have a listen, and a look .... Images of pain and damage". Well, of course WE SHOULD.
